The
AT-4 is a Swedish-manufactured, shoulder-launched anti-armor
weapon designed to defeat modern threat main battle tanks. It has
only recently become the main man-portable anti-tank missile
system used by the Alliance armies. Other older systems remain in
production and service, but the Viper out performs them. The
manufacturers of the AT4 are already looking at updating the
guidance systems of the missile and replacing its warhead with a
shaped explosive core for greater armor penetration.
