The Heavy
Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) is the crowning achievement of
Crane Industries research into the RPG weapon line. The Charge
itself is no heavier then the charge on the Medium RPG weapon,
however the shape of the charge has been redesigned for maximum
penetration through armor. Like the HEAT rounds used by tanks, the
Heavy RPG detonates at a predetermined distance from the object
and channels all its explosive energy into a pinpoint attack. The
resulting precision explosion cuts through armor and shrapnel
causes extensive secondary damage to the target. However the
increased costs of the Heavy RPG have persuaded Crane Industries
to maintain production of the Medium RPG instead of replacing them
with the Heavy, which was their original idea. The Heavy RPG is
painted black and has three support rings on its charge to
illustrate its power level.
