Crane Industries 110mm Tank Hunter

The Tank Hunter is a specially designed hard kill weapon. Its firepower is derived from a binary chemical propellant that fires a high velocity armor-piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS) rounds. Tanks themselves when hunting other tanks use these same rounds. The main chemical charge launches a cylinder shaped slug, when the slug breaches the barrel the sides fall away and a secondary propellant accelerated the round to high sub-sonic levels. When the round reaches its target enough kinetic energy is released on impact to force the Teflon tipped round through the armor like a hot knife through butter. The round has by this point lost so much of its forward velocity that it ricocheted inside the tank (or other armored target) inflicting serious damage to exposed internal parts.
