General
Dynamics 20mm Light Assault Cannon
|
The Light Auto Cannon is designed as a general-purpose rapid-fire
weapon. Its higher damage rating then the Ultra Light places it in
a mid-class range of Ant-Infantry and Anti-Exo use. The General
Dynamics Light has become a very popular weapon with private
defense forces and police who enjoy the fair damage it inflicts
without the worry of destroying local structures with ricochets
and wild fire. The weapon is designed with rugged durability in
mind and has all its main features and mechanisms stored inside
its armored exterior shell. The weapon can be dismantled for
travel or cleaning within minutes and reassemble in fewer than 5
minutes. The rugged design allows the butt of the weapon to be
used as a blunt instrument without fear of damaging the internal
mechanisms. The underside of the Light Auto Cannon has a universal
adapter that allows it to have a bipod, a rifle grenade launcher
or a laser sight added without the need for physical modification.
In the case of the laser sight a small cable it feed into the side
of the gun that causes the sight to activate when any pressure is
placed on the trigger. If no pressure is one the trigger then the
laser shuts off to save energy and prevent detection.
