General
Dynamics 20mm Ultra Light Assault Cannon
|
The General
Dynamics Ultra Light the rapid-fire counterpart to the Colt 20mm
Rifle. Like the Rifle the General Dynamics is designed as an
interim weapon, falling somewhere between machineguns and heavier
assault cannons. However unlike the Colt Rifle, the General
Dynamics is designed for rapid-fire and burst firing modes. In
burst firing the General Dynamics will group 5 shells into a very
tight line. Pilots who use the Ultra Light are sometimes confused
with the amount of ammo being fired because the shells are grouped
so close together that they can actually penetrate the exact same
spot, giving the impression that only 1 round was fired. The
General Dynamics clip is designed to fit the Colt Ultra Light
Rifle and vice versa, this lowers production costs of both weapons
by sharing design elements.
