Grumman 30mm Medium Assault Cannon

The Grumman Assault Cannon grew out of the Grumman anti-aircraft weapons that were often incorporated into jet fighters and assault helicopters. The Medium Assault Cannon is Grumman’s attempt to break into the Exo Class weapons market with a rapid-fire weapon. The Grumman fires what could be considered the standard round of the Alliance. The 30mm is for its size the most potent and reliable round available, with a failure rate of less then 1 round in every 50,000, something that Grumman is very proud of. The Medium Assault Cannon is a durable, light (for its size) and versatile weapon, if it has any one single draw back it is that the weapon has not yet reached its maximum manufacturing levels, the factory making them is currently running at only 60% peak performance. The Grumman Assault Cannon has a universal sight hard point mounted on the top of the barrel. The unit is normally equipped with trigger-activated laser designator, but can also be equipped with a telescopic sight, thermal imaging sensor, or other multi-optic device. The information from any of these camera-derived sights can be feed directly into the Exo’s targeting computer via a small data port on the barrels handle. The standard model comes equipped with a large ammunition clip, but Grumman has plans for a larger ammo pod and armored drum feed, but as yet these are unavailable.
