Intelligence Commando O.C.C.

  The Intelligence Commando is a specially trained operative whose job is to perform rapid strike missions. These elite forces must stay in a constant state of readiness to strike anywhere in the world on a moments notice. Intelligence Commando lead special forces in offensive raids, demolitions, intelligence gathering, search and rescue missions, and other missions from aboard aircraft, helicopters, ships, submarines or Exo’s. Due to the wide variety of missions, Intelligence Commando are trained swimmers, parachutists and survival experts, in addition to being a highly trained combat operative.

  Although their lifestyle means they must be flexible and able bodied at all manner of skill and mission, the Intelligence Commando are expected to perform many standard duties. These include mission to infiltrate enemy lines and recruit, train and equip friendly forces for guerilla raids. Carry out demolition raids against enemy targets, such as bridges, railroads, fuels depots, communication hubs, etc. Clear mine fields, both on land and in the water. Conduct intelligence-gathering missions on enemy troops movements and military assets. Execute offensive raids or invasions of enemy territories. As well as destroy enemy ships in costal waters, using underwater explosives or sabotage.

  Higher ranking Intelligence Commandos are expected to complete all the standard mission objectives, as well as training personnel under in parachuting, S.C.U.B.A. diving and special combat techniques. Such as those used to set underwater demolitions and clear mine fields. The Commanding Intelligence Commando must also plan missions and coordinate those plans with other forces as needed.

  In order to perform all their missions potential Intelligence Commando must participate and pass a 72 training session in which their physical conditioning will be tested to their limits. Candidates for the Intelligence Commandos will be taught parachuting techniques, swimming and S.C.U.B.A. Other skills taught during the 72-week course include land warfare systems and communications devices, handling explosives and setting demolitions charges, both on land and underwater charges. The last of the major areas taught include Explosive handling and disposal techniques, focusing primarily on mine clearing activities.

  Those Intelligence Commando that wish to become Commanders of the Intelligence Commandos must participate in a further 20 week course that teaches them mission planning techniques, leadership skills and reconnaissance skills. All in addition to their normal Intelligence Commando training.

  Due to the nature of the Intelligence Commando varied missions, team members must be prepared to go anywhere in the world as they are needed, all are trained to work in all climates, weather conditions, and settings. Intelligence Commando may dive from submarines or small underwater craft, to parachute from high altitude cargo planes. Intelligence Commando team members may also be exposed to harsh temperatures, often without protection, during missions in enemy controlled areas.


Attribute Requirements: IQ. 10, ME. 9, PS. 12, and PP. 13 or higher.  

Physical Demands: Intelligence Commandos must meet very demanding physical requirements. Good eyesight, night vision, and physical conditioning are required to reach mission objectives by parachute, over land, or under water. Good eye-hand coordination is required to detonate or deactivate explosives. In most instances, special operations officers are required to be qualified swimmers, parachutists, and endurance runners.

Secondary Skills: The character also gets to select two secondary skills from the list, excluding those marker  ‘none or only’, at level two, four, eight, and eleven. These are additional areas of knowledge that do not receive the advantage of the bonuses listed in the parenthesis. All new skills start at first level proficiency.

Additional Equipment Available: Additional equipment and weapons are available upon request. Common additional equipment made available includes enhanced body armor, various forms of transportation. Various communications gear such as scramblers, de-scramblers, etc. Explosive, demolitions charges, reserve supplies and extra equipment. All additional equipment is based on a mission0by-mission criteria.

  The character also has access to most military bases (medium to high level security clearance) and military doctors, hospitals and other facilities.  

Note: Availability of equipment and resources may depend upon the local commander; supply stock, location, casualties and combat condition. The Intelligence Commando is typically at the top of the priority list.

Money: The soldier gets a roof over their head, food, clothing, medical care and all other basic necessities are provided free of charge as part of their salary. The character also receives a monthly wage based on their current rank. Most characters start their military career with a few hundred dollars savings (2D6 x100). At base level (Corporal) the character earns $1,056.00 per month of service.

        Intelligence Commando’s quarters are a nice, dormitory style barracks. Six soldiers share one dormitory area. Each gets a small bedroom in a common area and a work desk a personnel computer. All share one bathroom, a sitting area, and a living room area. Or the soldier can opt to live off base at his or her own expense.
