McDonnell Douglas Non-Lethal Net Gun

The McDonnell Douglas Net Gun is a one-of-a-kind creation in the field of Exo weapons. The gun is a non-lethal capture/entanglement device designed to slow one opponent down without injuring them. There are several sizes of net, but Exo pilots usually carry the 25m (has a cone radius of 25 feet/7.5 m) to ensure it can cover most common sized Exo’s and even large wild life. Many Scout –Recon units have been assigned a Net Gun in order to capture and retrieve mission specific targets. The McDonnell Douglas Net Gun is unique in that it is the only gun of its type to incorporate a winch system, allowing the gun to retrieve the net and its capture prey. Other manufactures, including McDonnell Douglas, produce a version without the winch, forcing the Exo to retrieve the net and target. However sometimes retrieval is not necessary, the net gun is quite effective in slowing the progression of opponents chasing the Exo, in this case the net is simply fired and forgotten.
