You
might be wondering why there have not been any updated in several
months, and the answer is this. I was disillusioned with
Palladium. I know this might sound a little harsh, but its the
truth. With the possibility of a Palladium-Rifts movie the
possibility of the MGMC Software package was shelved, blow number
one. Then Maryann left Palladium, and with it the only reliable
contact I have meet there, blow number two. And then the
announcement that no more manuscripts would be accepted, blow
three. And lastly, when I went to post my new site (the one you
are on) I was told that it might violate Palladiums IP issues,
blow number four. Had
any one or two of these happened I could have dealt with it.
Even perhaps three issues, but when I was told my fan-site
violated their Intellectual Property (IP) I gave up. Give me a
break, it is a game based on theirs, I have posted no rules from
any of their games, it uses the Rifts or Heroes rule system and is
meant to be a fans work for a company/product they liked. And to
be told that I cant do it because it might infringe on their
stuff. Give me a break! Then to top it off Wayne emails me and
says you can always submit it to the Rifter. So my work is a
violation (possibly) of Palladium rights, but you would consider
printing it yourself?? That makes perfect sense. Well
fine then, I invited them to review the material and tell me a
straight forward yes or no answer. Does it infringe on their IP issues
or not? After over 6 weeks of waiting I gave up, that was 5 months
ago. It seems that Palladium can't get around to it, so to hell with
them. I will continue on without them. I do this because I love to
write and because it is something I enjoy. So if Palladium has a problem
with that, then maybe they should have contacted me in the 5
months since the declared this site a possible violate, I choose
to take their silence as a 'go-ahead'. And if any Palladium staffers
happens to be reading this tell Wayne to email me if there is a
problem. |
