Quantico
Manufacturing 20mm Drop Gun
|
The
Drop Gun was designed as a back up weapon for the first generation
Exo’s with full manipulator capability. The Drop Gun is designed
to fold compactly and be locked onto one of the Exo’s hip or
back hard points, able to be detached and extended at a moments
notice. When the larger Exo’s came off the drawing board the
Drop Gun was going to be phased out, however its versatility and
cheep production cost saw it through, and as such has remained a
main stay of the Exo weapons inventory. Loosely based on the
General Dynamics 20mm Light Assault Cannon except with simpler
internal working and a shorter muzzle length, the Drop Gun adds
much needed back up firepower. In fact its proved to be so
versatile and reliable that the light Scout-Recon Exo’s of both
the Alliance and the Axis have made it there primary weapon for
standard missions.
