RAAMS (Remote Anti-Armor Mine System) M700 Series

This has only recently entered service with the U.S. Army (and the Alliance), and is a projectile that carries nine anti-tank mines, each weighting 5 lbs (2.27 kg) ad ejected from the projectile as it passes over the target area. The M741 projectile carries nine anti-tank mines which will self-destruct if they are not set off by a vehicle in 24 hours, while the M718 projectile carries a similar number of mines with a longer period before they self destruct.

High Explosive M107

The high explosive M107 projectile weapon weighs 94.6 lbs (42.91 kg) and contains 14.6 lbs (6.62 kg) of TNT or 15.4 lbs (6.98 kg) or Composition B high explosive.

High Explosive M449

This projectile weighs 95 lbs (43.09 kg) and contains 60 M43 anti-personnel grenades dispensed over the target. The projectile is also effective against soft-skinned vehicles and troops in the open.

High Explosive M483

This projectile weighs 102.6 lbs (46.53 kg) and contains 88 (64 M42 and 24M46) dual-purpose grenades for use against personnel and vehicles, the roof of the latter being one of their most vulnerable points.

ADAM (Area-Denial Artillery Munition)

This projectile is only in service with the U.S. Army and carries 36 anti-personnel mines. The M692 projectile carries 36 mines that will self-destruct over a longer period than those of the M731 projectile, whose 36 mines self-destruct after a period of 24 hours if not activated.

Nuclear

The M795 is a prototype projectile not currently in service, but is being researched. The projectile weighs 189.2 lbs (85.82 kg) and contains a small thermo-nuclear warhead, the yield of which has been calculated to be equal to approximately one-quarter of a Mega-ton of TNT. No plans for production have been authorized and so far the M795 exists only as a research project.

HERA M549

The High Explosive Rocket Assisted projectile weighs 96 lbs (43.54 kg) and has a rocket motor at the rear that increases its range to 93,000 feet (30,000 m) compared with the standard M107 projectile which has a maximum range of 56,265 feet (18,150 m) when fired by the Rock Island 155mm Gun.

REMBASS

This projectile carries a number of sensors that drop to the ground and are difficult to detect. These relay information on vehicles and personnel in their immediate area, and this information is used both for surveillance and target-acquisition purposes.

Smoke

The white phosphorus projectile is called the M110 while the smoke (base ejection) projectile is called the M116. There are also special projectiles for the CS gas and chemical agents.

Jammer

Under development by the Alliance is a 155mm projectile that will drop expendable communications jammers well into the rear of the front line (of the enemy) to disrupt enemy communications systems.

Illuminating

The 155mm Gun can fire two types of illuminating projectile, the M118 and the M485, the latter being the more recent.
