The
Saco Light Assault Rifle is a popular weapon among scout troops
and those that require stopping power and range. Like all the
Assault Rifles the Saco is capable of single round fire, making
accuracy more important then rapid fire. The Saco is equipped with
a standard issue laser targeting sight slung under the barrel of
the rifle. Many field technicians equip the laser sight with a
visible light spectrum frequency crystal that shift the light
produced outside the normal range of light perceptible to the
human eye. The sensors on the Exo using the weapon is then
calibrated to this light frequency, thus the target is illuminated
but no visible laser ‘tag’ is seen. This field modification
takes only about 15 minutes and can be accomplished by one person;
the only equipment needed besides a few tools is the crystal and
its light range frequency.
