Campaign
Settings
The campaign setting should be used as the starting point for you
and or your team. However it could also be used as the combat location
for your team. For example your team is based in (1) North America but
its current field of operation is (5) South Africa. The Game Master may
chose to roll twice on this table. The first roll should be your
characters base of operations location; the second roll should be the
characters field of operation. This is completely optional, and the Game
Master may chose to simply select one or both.
Roll once on the location table to determine the starting location of you campaign. The entire game can be set in this location, or it can travel around. Usually the starting location will also include the players (or team) home base of operation. In the case of rolling a location of as enemy territory (like Eurasia) you are simply starting this aspect of your campaign while involved in a larger setting (like the war). North
America: Characters should select a more specific location
such as Washington or Texas as there home location. In the case of a
military type campaign where the player is a member of a squad, this
location will be their home base within the military. If the G.M.
selects South America they players may be involved in a recon exercise,
training operation, or even a drug raid on a cartel! England:
Character(s) could be there to help the Royal Forces as an American
Soldier, or be from England naturally. The player(s) could be there to
defend England, train other troops, or be there on a stop over. Perhaps
you have tracked an enemy spy to England… Russia:
Characters starting in Russia should either be Enemy Agents loyal to
Russia and her cause or they could be Allied agents deep behind enemy
lines performing some sort of mission. Regardless of their loyalty the
character should be located in a city or town not too far from a boarder
or combat area. South
Africa: Characters finding themselves in South Africa are
most likely stationed at a military base. Most of the military has moved
north towards the Egyptian & Ethiopia area where most of the combat
is expected. Some military bases farther south are still active and are
used as supply station and training facilities. As well many allied and
enemy agent can be found all through South Africa seeking alliances and
non-aggression treaties, as well as collecting information about each
other. Eurasia:
Eurasia is the very heart of the conflict. While not all of the battles
are restricted to the continents interior the majority are. Eurasia is
latterly torn apart by the war. There are enemy encampments and allied
bases throughout the continent. Some are cut off from their homelands
and friends, others are under siege and still other remains neutral.
Those characters starting in Eurasia will most likely be troops of a
task force assigned to military operations in the area. Some characters
may opt to become local militiamen in defense of their home, while still
others could be rebels attacking the enemy whenever possible. Australia:
Australia is a tense nation, so close to the Pacific Rim and its
combatant the Country is preparing for invasion. While for the moment it
is still a free and independent nation allied to the U.S., Britain and
the other member states. Australian character may be military troops
preparing for war, or they could be helping prepare the country for the
inevitable invasion to come. Whatever the reason for the character
presence Australia is a powder keg minutes away from exploding into all
out war on its own land. |
