Campaign Objective: Track
The
track objective has two possible outcomes or ‘win‘ scenarios. The
first is the successful physical tracking down of the item or person
described. The second applies more to items such as information and
things. The second win situation comes from determining the source of
the leak, transit, money laundering, etc. This means tracking how the
item moves, not just where it goes. Criminal:
Your mission is to track the movements of a known criminal. The purpose
of the tracking might be to gain an inside point of view to the
criminals habits and allies. That information could later be used as
part of an infiltration mission. Or perhaps you are tracking a criminal
in the hope that he or she will lead you to other criminals, stolen
merchandise or a ‘big boss’. Ideally the criminal should never know
you are there, otherwise the purpose of the mission is lost because the
criminal no longer sticks to their normal routine. V.I.P.:
You have been ordered to shadow a V.I.P. as a bodyguard or maybe as an
assassin. The person who ordered you to shadow the V.I.P. has requested
that you remain covert in your tracking, the person is not to know you
are there until you have no other choice but to reveal yourself. One way
to track without being noticed is to become part of the normal scene
where the person is seen. To accomplish that you may need to go
undercover, seek employment in the V.I.P.’s entourage or other close
association. Information:
You have been charged with the job of locating an information leak. The
leak may be a physical spy or an electronic observer. To track your pray
you are going to have to watch very closely the way in which the
information moves. You may need to create false information in order to
track your pray. In an electronic world you will have to be very careful
to protect yourself from prying eyes. Watching information move on
information superhighways might leave you wide open to others watching
you and the information you are watching. Missing
Weapons: A report has made its way to your desk that several weapons
have recently gone missing. You job is to find out where they went, who
took them, and get them back. Another team has been assigned to
apprehend the criminal, but until that person has been identified you
will be working the same case. Once you have determined the where and
why’s of the crime you must act to retrieve the weapons. That track
might lead you to Black Market Arms Dealers, back street gang members,
local Triads or other illegal operation. Or maybe the criminals are not
gang members and Black Marketers, but corrupt members of your military
unit. A Supply Clerk here or a Base Commander there, a proper
investigation could lead deep within the military. Medical
Items: You have been asked to bring in a shipment of medication to a
local doctor, or military physician. When you discover that a large
quantity of the drugs you were asked to get have gone missing. While the
medications themselves are legal, there is a huge Black Market for them.
You have got to get them back before they reach the open market. Your
investigation starts with a local person, or low ranking soldier, with a
real addiction problem to Morphine. He informs you that the drugs are
making their way to the Black Market as we speak. A successful mission
means recovering the drugs, tracing how they got away from you, who did
it, and where their ultimate destination was. AWOL
Military Personnel: You have been awoken some time in the early morning
by a phone call. You have just been assigned an AWOL/Missing Person
Case. What you cannot fathom is how the person managed to escape/be
captured. It quickly becomes apparent that the person had inside help.
While another team of trackers hunts down the missing person, you have
decided to take a different path. Someone around you managed to provide
the person with travel plans, documents and the means to escape. Now you
have to discover the mastermind’s identity to close the AWOL/Missing
Person ring. |
