Walther
40mm Heavy Assault Rifle
|
The Walther
Heavy Assault Rifle is the companies only sojourn into Exo class
rifles. Walther has long been known for its superior rifles and
sniper equipment. The Heavy Assault Rifle is an Exo scale weapon
following in that tradition. Although there are two variants of
this weapon on the Exo market, the only difference between them is
the inclusion of the Walther Optics Assembly. The Walther fires
specially manufactured 40mm caseless armor piercing Teflon rounds.
Although the breach can handle traditional 40mm cased rounds, the
Walther performs best with the custom ammunition it was designed
for. The rounds themselves are unique in that the Teflon tip
encases a hollow point that mushrooms moments after armor
penetration to cause as much collateral damage as possible. The
Walther Rifle itself has a ‘blank’ grip equally well suited to
a left hand or right hand grip configuration, when needed the
breach can purge to the left or the right as needed. For sniper
activity a smaller then normal clip is used, holding only 5
rounds, this is to reduce the weight and improve the balance of
the gun. The ‘common’ variant of the rifle has a larger clip
of 15 rounds.
