No puedo más sin ti

imagined by: Despina Dinca
Basic concept: he can't stop thinking of her,
she has to come back to him

Characters: Enrique and myself

At the first chords is a shot of Enrique sitting on the beach, looking to the sunrise over the ocean.

"Puede que te alejes años luz de mi
Puede que te besen otros labios alli
Pero estoy yo, siempre yo"
He disappears from the set, we see only the sun over the ocean. Then me trying to kiss another guy, but his face transforms in Enrique's.

"Puede que mi cuerpo descanze en paz
Puede que mis ojos no te vean mas
Pero estoy you, siempre yo"
Enrique lies in the sand, on the beach. Close shot of his closed eyes.

"Y pido al sol y pido al mar
Y pido a los vientos que te traigan ya"
He walks with his bare feet in the ocean's water playing with a seashell, looking towards horizons.

During chorus, is me also walking on a beach, like coming from opposite direction. I'm overwhelmed with flashbacks: how our eyes first met, how he came to the first date with a rose.

At the beginning of the second verse, while I'm still walking on the beach I see a guy that looks like him and I go straight toward him but ... as he turns, it proves I was wrong ...

"Puede que me arranques el corazon
Puede que supongas que lo nuestro acabo
Pero estoy yo, siempre yo"
Scenes of us fighting, telling each other terrible words.

"Y pido al sol obscuridad"
He comes back into our room. It's almost dark .. obscure natural light. He barely touches a picture of us and he has a vision of me coming back to him.

As the second chorus starts it's me sitting in a room and watch two suitcases ... it's like I'd leave that moment, but yet I hesitate to turn back to him.

"Es que me haces sonar/Es que me haces morir
Es que yo no puedo mas sin ti
Es que me haces llorar/Es que me haces reir
Es que yo no puedo sin ti"
I go toward the window, but in my way I touch some papers on a table. They fall and there's a letter among them. I take it and I open it.
As I touch the paper memories start coming back to me. In our room it's me watching him sleeping, then us fighting, then me caressing his face and hair. We are in each others arms smiling.

During the instrumental part, from that hug we'd start dancing slowly.

"Y pido al sol y pido al mar
Y pido a los vientos que te traigan ya.
Mi diosa tu, tu esclavo yo
Hasta la eternidad."
A shot of the letter where these verse is to be seen written. I put the letter down and a rose petal drops on it in slow motion (the eternity feeling ...).

For the next chorus, Enrique goes back on the beach. The sun is almost completely gone. He looks sad to the couples walking on the beach.

It's completely dark outside as I enter home and drop my suitcases, going straight to the bedroom calling for him. But there's nobody there. I look around and finally go to the window ... I see his dark silhouette. He is still watching the horizons. I go out of the house and run toward him. I stop few steps behind him ... he turns around and doesn't look surprised at all. He knew I would come back (like in his earlier vision). We hug and remain like that while I whisper in his ear: "Es que yo no puedo mas sin ti" and he whispers to me: "Es que yo no puedo mas sin ti" ...

As the music fades out so do our presence and there's only the dark old ocean caressing the beach shore ...
