The World War 1 project was assigned around Remembrance Day. It was used to help us understand the events that took place during war. Everyone choose a creative way to represent what they wanted to say. We all choose a Canadian soldier from the Nellie Spence book to create our piece. I went about doing my project by composing a poem based on Arnold Jaques Chadwick.

The engine! Can you imagine? What’s the commotion with my engine? I can no longer steer the plane It’s going out of control The Belgian solider are on patrol I’m held captive I need to return to my base so Therefore, I must think positive Trying to escape through the “Underground Railway” I must be able to grasp so I can face the next day Making it back to the force With my comrades I’m able to dominate the Belgium coast Being a solider is phenomenal job But not just being an ordinary solider But a Canadian solider
