|| On The Spot With Walt Willis ||

[Scene] The scene opens up with some cheesy Sports Center-esque music playing in the background on a small set. Two chairs sit across from each other. A man with a slicked back pony tail and fancy Armani suit steps out onto the stage, clipboard in hand. He sits in the chair on the right and an obvious applause sound can be heard.

Mr. Fancy Pants: Welcome to “On The Spot”. I’m of course Walt Willis, wrestling’s #1 dirt sheet analyst. Tonight we have a special guest whom happens to be high on my ‘hot list’. Chaos Heat Zone’s Josh Sutton!

[Scene] The studio theme plays again as fake applause enter in. Josh Sutton walks out on to the stage wearing a 3D t-shirt and a pair of black cut-off shorts. He has the Hardcore championship draped over his shoulder. The familiar black glasses cover his gaze as he sits down. He takes the glasses off and folds them gently into the collar of his shirt. There’s an awkward stare between Willis and Sutton until Walt breaks the silence with the first of his questions.

Walt Willis Welcome to the show, Josh. Now to my knowledge, you’ve been in this sport for twelve years. You’ve been all over America, throughout Japan and Mexico. There aren’t too many places you don’t have a following. My question to you is how does it feel to once again have to work your way up that stressful ladder of contingency?

Josh Sutton: Yeah, I’ve been in the game for quite a while. It’s a challenge, you know. It’s a challenge that is testing me not only physically but mentally as well. I like it because I’m proving to myself and others that I’m not just a pushover. That was something that was plaguing my mind for quite a while. There was a point here a while back when I felt pretty worthless. I was on the shelf nursing a leg injury that I suffered years back in the Extreme World Wrestling League in upstate Chicago. So, as far as moving up the ladder, it’s been fun thus far. I’m looking forward to the continuation of it, and I hope it stays as fast-paced as it has. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.

Willis: Last Wednesday you managed to pick up that Hardcore title from fellow CHZer, Damian. The talent there seems top notch. Are you at all concerned with defending it?

Sutton: Damian is a phenomenal athlete. I’m taking nothing away from the guy. But you have to understand, going into the match I had a lot of momentum riding on my back. Damian’s been having a lot of trouble lately. He gets close but can never seem to follow through when it comes time for the finish. That can kill you, and last week it did. That’s the reason I’m sitting here with this hunk of gold on my shoulder.

[Scene] Sutton repositions the title on his shoulder and clears his throat.

Sutton: As for the competition… There are a lot of guys here that pose a threat. But I’m motivated and if you’re one of the unfortunate people squaring off against me, I wouldn’t take it lightly.

Willis: So now that you’ve achieved your goal of obtaining the Hardcore title, what’s next?

Sutton: Where do people get off thinking they can just slack off when they reach stardom and titles? I might be a sick, twisted fuck but I still live by the centralized rules of valor and spirit. I’m doing the exact thing from this point on that I’ve done from the beginning. That’s talking shit, drinking beer, and kicking a lot of ass. Not only the Josh Sutton way, but the assimilated American way.

Willis: We’ve come to the point in the show called the ‘name game’. I say a name and you give us your point of view on that particular person. Are you up for that?

Sutton: I’m all about honesty, man. Let’s do it.

[Scene] An eerie ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ type theme starts playing as the lights dim around Sutton and Willis.

Willis: Let’s start off with the cream of the crop, the current CHZ World Heavyweight champion and undeniably one of the best wrestlers around. He’s often seen in the number one position of my ‘hot list.’ Drayton MacPherson…

Sutton: I wouldn’t go as far as to say he’s one of the best wrestlers around. I think it’s safe to say he’s one of the luckiest wrestlers around. At Blackout he barely escaped with that World title. Derceto was but a second away from becoming the champion. Personally, at this point it doesn’t make a difference to me. But down the line, I see Drayton and I meeting regardless of titles.

Willis: Very well, how about Sven?

Sutton: Great athlete and in my opinion the next Chaos Heat Zone World Heavyweight champion.

Willis: The newcomer, Van Brenner.

Sutton: Not sure what’s going on there between Vin Cassidy and him, but the guy is the future of not only CHZ but the wrestling industry. He’s got all the tools, and I would love to step up toe-to-toe with him.

Willis: The nBk..

Sutton: At Hell to Pay, they’ll get what is coming to them.

Willis: The man who issued a challenge to you this past Wednesday for the Hardcore title at Hell to Pay, Hardcore Hulin.

Sutton: All talent, no balls.

Willis: Your opponent this week, The Hired Gun

Sutton: Destined to go down with a Number seven etched in his head. Make no mistake about it The Hired Gun, you will lose. A month back when you showed your pitiful existence here in CHZ, I was the first to face you, first to beat you. Now a month later, after you've gotten a little bit of expierience under your belt you've decided to come back for a refresher course. That's fine and dandy, but dreams are what you make of them. They don't nessecarily come true in all cases. At Wild, THG, your dream is dead. The currents have spoken.

Willis: It was great having you, Mr. Sutton. We’d love to have you again sometime down the road.

Sutton: The pleasure was all yours.

[Scene] The familiar Sports Center style music plays again as Josh Sutton walks off the stage cockily and the scene fades to black.
