| || The Error In Your Ways || [Scene] The scene begins in the kitchen of the Sutton household where loud thunderous sounds can be heard coming from below. The camera moves toward the sound and opens the door leading to the basement. The sound becomes louder and you can hear the heart of the camera man beating as he ventures down into this ‘labyrinth’. The camera is now at basement level and Victor Blood can be seen, holding a clipboard. The camera pans over a little further revealing Josh Sutton in a martial arts GI. He stands in front of a dummy line. One, a standard heavy bag. Another is a human replica made out a lacquered wood. The third is a speed bag. Sutton leaps from the ground and buries a hard knee into the ‘stomach area’ of the wooden mannequin. Blood: Good, very nice. Now high kick, low kick, roundhouse. [Scene] Sutton nods to Victor then proceeds to kick the heavy bag high, the mannequin low, and the speed bag with a beautiful roundhouse knocking it free from the ceiling. Sutton drops down to a squat on the floor, breathing heavily as Victor reaches into a small refrigerator. He pulls out a beer and tosses it to Sutton. Josh opens it quickly and pours the contents down his throat, crushing the can in his hand. Blood: Good, very good. Well then, shall we take a break? Sutton: Sure, but first get me another beer. [Scene] Sutton wipes the sweat off his brow quickly then catches the incoming beer from Victor who then proceeds up the steps. Josh cracks the beer open and takes a long drink before placing it at his side and glaring into the camera. Sutton: J Stevenson and his posse seem pretty content and confident with this being a completely rule sanctioned match-up. You seem to have it set in your mind that I just absolutely have no skill in the art of technical wrestling. [Scene] Sutton sighs and puts his head down momentarily. Sutton: There’s your first mistake, kid. I’m going to call you out on a ten scale of the bullshit factor. I want you to walk up to your television, look right at it. Yes, that’s it. Good boy…. Now look right at the screen.. Get eye level with it. [Scene] Sutton lays his middle finger out for the world to see before a sly smile spreads over his lips. Sutton: That’s what I have to say about your complete underestimation of my abilitity. You see, before I became the King of Deathmatch here in the States, I spent the earlier days of my career overseas in Japan. The thing you have to understand about Japan is it takes a lot more to impress them. Blood and guts just don’t cut it over there. It takes some actual skill and perseverance in mat wrestling. During my stint in Japan I mastered skills in Judo and several mixed martial art categories. [Scene] Sutton pauses to take a breath and collect his thoughts. Sutton: You’re sitting there with that goofy little smile on your face, underestimating me right and left. You’re missing the big picture. You’re living in a soapbox world. Nothing could possibly piss me off more than that. The meaning behind this match has expanded beyond the value of titles. It’s about respect now, Stevenson. Not to sound cliché, but by the end of our match J, you WILL respect me. [Scene] Sutton picks up his beer and downs it, tossing it near the steps. The door opens at the top of the stairway and Victor begins making his descent down once again. Sutton: I’ve sat here for the past couple of days watching your promotions over and over again. They’ve been on hotkey in my VCR. I watch them, rewind them, and take notes. Not only are you underestimating me and showing me a lack of respect but you’re completely overlooking me! You’ve got your mind of Sean Andretti! Your priorities are all fucked up, Mr. Stevenson. And unfortunately for you, it’s going to be your downfall. I’m sick of sitting around playing in the bush league sandboxes. I’m ready to take that faithful leap to the top of the mountain, and your imbecilic ways are standing in the way. Sutton: After the travesty that occurred at Hell to Pay in losing the Hardcore championship, I will relish in defeating you, Stevenson. Not only defeating you, but annihilating you as well. [Scene] Sutton pushes up off the floor, lunging to his feet as Victor walks up. Blood: Are you ready to spar, Sutton? Sutton: Momentarily, Vic. Give me a few seconds to wrap this up and we’ll get started. Blood: Very well. [Scene] Victor walks off the scene yet again as Sutton returns his attention to the camera. Sutton: On Wednesday Stevenson, you’re going to find out a little bit about me. If I were you, I’d rethink my battle plan. Shoulder blocks, top-wrist locks, and toe holds aren’t on the menu. A big helping of pain and a side order of defeat are however. And the only one eating that big plateful will be you, precious. So with that said.. When the water hits, and the pain surfaces there will be no where for you to go but beneath the blood red currents of my undertow. And all of my children applauded as I brought you to... [Scene] Sutton bows his head. Sutton: The End... [Scene] The scene begins to fade with Sutton walking off. |
