|| Resurrection... ||

[Scene] WILD has ended. The fans have emptied from their rarely sat-in seats. The backstage is beginning to clear as well. Josh Sutton is spotted standing outside the Controlling Factor dressing room, still brandishing the barbed wire baseball bat used earlier in the bloodbath with Matt Scheffert. Carol Diamond approaches with haste, looking for another chat with Josh, no doubt.

Sutton: How delightful... It's Carol Diamond, again... Back to pick my brain some more, I presume?

Diamond: If you will allow it.

Sutton: I welcome it. I have much to get off my chest.

[Scene] Diamond smiles nervously as Josh gleams with malevolent delight. She is obviously not used to such surrender to her pleas of questioning.

Sutton: I'd like to start off this charade with an apology. An apology to Matt Scheffert.

Diamond: That's a very respectable act and much needed in my opinion.

Sutton: I'm glad I have your support.

[Scene] Josh sneers before continuing.

Sutton: I'm sorry Matt for not sooner seeing what a coward you are. I mustered up so much respect for you, only to have my face slapped this evening. Your cowardice comes from the love of a woman.

[Scene] Sutton reaches out and gently strokes Carol's cheek as he speaks.

Sutton: But women are the downfall of this business, Matt. I told you that from the day you first started having second thoughts. But... I guess you don't have to worry about it anymore, do you? You can be with your whore and unborn offspring every day now, Matthew. You no longer have to be concerned with the long hours on the road, the grueling weekly house shows, the overseas tours, and let's not forget the Wednesday WILD's. Oh no, because your career ended here tonight with this series. It went down in flames... Never to rise again.

Diamond: But what about his livelihood?

Sutton: He should have thought about that before he ever-so-stupidly anted all his chips into the pot when the odds were obviously very much against him. What he did tonight was similar to someone placing their life savings in K-Mart stock. Not exactly a bright idea. So Carol, do me a favor and save the pity.

Diamond: In addition to tonight's sadistic victory over Matt Scheffert you attacked up and comer, Edward Hall. Why?

[Scene] Sutton lets go of Carol's face and brings the bat up beside her. You can see the nervousness growing as she lets out a confused, stifled laugh.

Sutton: They say everything happens for a reason, and tonight is no exception. I called out Edward Hall because he's new blood. He has a 'sweet' side. He's like an innocent little child that has been left untainted. And like a child, he's naive that no one cares about him.

Diamond: Maybe, but what does that have to do with you?

Sutton: You're so fucking simplistic! Learn patience you little slut!

[Scene] Sutton's eyes fill with rage as he reaches out and yanks hard on Carol's hair. A few tears stream down her face and Sutton shows "compassion" by stroking her.

Sutton: You poor... poor thing... I'll leave to wallow in sorrow, precious... Hahaha...

[Scene] Sutton walks off, dragging the bat with strands of Carol's hair hanging off of it. He turns, his eyes glinting in the light as the scene fades to black.
