| || Woe Is You... || [Foreword] The days passed like the sands in the hour glass. Slow at times, fast at others. The hospital food, as usual, sucked. The pain in my head, as usual, sucked. Verdicts were flying from mouths in all directions. It was as if I were at a used car lot. Everyone was giving me sugar-coated treatment. Then alas, a doctor gave me the option I wanted to hear… “Mr. Sutton, your head is very unstable at this point. A couple of more tremendous blows and you could be sucking food through a straw for life. I highly recommend throwing in the towel, or hanging up the boots as you wrestlers cliché. But…” But was the word I was looking for… “As your records indicate in the past, you’ve refused to accept diagnosis for the truth. With that said, I’ve stated my opinion to you. I can bring in hundreds of doctors for second opinions if you’d like, but they’ll all say the same thing. You’re crazy if you get back into the ring. I’m leaving it in your hands, Mr. Sutton. Do with your life what you will.” Keyser Soze thought he pulled the ace of spades… He laid it down on the table with a smirk as he suplexed me off that fucking ramp and left me to die in the splinters below… But as the smoke cleared and he moved his hand away, he discovered that it was simply an ace of clubs… So sorry… Hahahaha…. Doctor Josh Sutton comes to you with a new prognosis… A long hard road through the city of lights, a large dosage of pain all around, and a bitter defeat for one Keyser Soze. [Scene] The scene opens in a black and white setting. It’s kind of scratchy, like that of an old movie. You see it skip around a little. It finally comes into focus and color washes over the screen as if dipped in a dying tub. You’re in a setting of trees, with a white picnic table sitting out in front alongside a swing. The sun is rising vaguely over the tops of the trees. In the distance you can hear a light thud. As time passes it gets closer. The camera fades out to reveal a sidewalk. The camera turns 180 degrees, revealing a man dressed in a black shroud. A familiar dragon head cane smacks against the pavement, giving significance to the echoing sounds. As the cloaked figure nears, his features are more distinguished. His deep, fiery eyes are similar to that of the crimson ruby eyes of the dragon. His face is grizzled, covered in stubble facial hair. He smacks the cane softly against the ground to gain full attention. Sutton: Keyser Soze… A week ago you took this way past that of a wrestling match. You told me I made this personal. You told me that I was to blame for what was to come. That you were coming for my blood… And you did, Soze. You accomplished what you said. You broke Josh Sutton… You broke me into a pit of despair. You’ve taken me to a desolate place where I hate to be. I have to literally slap myself to get out of bed in the mornings. I struggle through back pains from the Soze plexes. Hell, I simply struggle. Sutton: As I said… You broke Josh Sutton. You’ve forced me to bring a man that hasn’t seen the light of day in six years… A man that thrives on pain… A sadomasochist if you will… A man that makes Anarchy Kid look like a walk in the park… A trip to Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Soze. All for you, Keyser… Heh… All for you… [Scene] Sutton throws back the hood. His head has slowly began to become stubbly as well. He looks like hell frozen then re-heated under a lamp. Sutton: Keyser… You’ve forced me to slam my fist down on the fucking self-destruct button. Your actions of late are to blame for what’s to come. Las Vegas… Hahaha…. Sin city is about to witness an overhaul in just that. [Scene] Sutton’s eyes close and he tilts his head back, laughing madly. Tears are flowing down his face. Sutton: Keyser Soze… Hahaha… At Sins of Summer IV… From the deepest reaches within me… From the darkest side of the moon… From the depths of the currents… he comes…. [Scene] Sutton is in a dead whisper. The words flow from his lips in an unfathomable passion. Sutton: MyZery comes… [Scene] And just as soon as he was there, he is gone. The camera looks around, finding nothing. Seconds pass and the flickering begins again. Color fades… A deep gray fills the void… Fuzz… A deeper fuzz… An endless fuzz… Black. |
