| || Check Mate || [Foreward] I've always been an adept player at chess. Either method; the board game and human psychological. I pride myself in such things. I consider it great fun to be able to mentally impair my opponent before a big match. To dissect their inner-thought process. To be able to calculate just exactly what they're going to throw at me in the match. The game of human chess takes an ungodly amount of intelligence.. will power. Not to underestimate your opponent; but to lead them to believe that you have. It causes them to make several key mistakes that lead to their demise. [Scene] The sounds of crickets can be heard chirping in the distance accompanied by the rustling of leaves in a Chicago night. The cameras focus in on an opening in the woods. A fire gently dances in a pit full of wood. It licks against the wood, crackling with desire to escape its prison. But it remains contained. Josh Sutton sits in front of the fire, legs crossed and hands extended, meditating. As the camera zooms in Sutton's eyes open slowly, dilating to focus. Sutton: It's beautiful, isn't THG? Anger is a strong vehicle of expression. It can take you many places in this life; but just like this fire, it eventually will die out. [Scene] Sutton uncrosses his legs and sits closer to the fire, the blaze near his face. Sutton: THG you remind of a bug whom has crawled unknowingly into a web. In that web lives a spider. That spider is me. I'm in the process of weaving the web around you. The choke point is coming. Blackout will be suffocation for you; perhaps annihilation. I sense and fully understand your anger. It's okay, there, there. Everyone becomes angry at times when they realize defeat. Luckily for you, your wife is there to console in this dark hour. [Scene] Sutton lets out a moderate cackle, keeping his eyes locked on the camera. You can see the flames dancing in his eyes. Sutton: I'm glad to see that you enjoyed my tape, though. I applaud on your total decimation of it. It was such a hard opponent, you know. Just think, if destroying a tape is that easy, imagine how easy it's going to be to defeat me, eh? Sutton: You claim you've never heard the words 'letdown' connected with you? Perhaps that is your problem. If your good ol' DAD would have slapped you across the face and called you a letdown, you might have turned out to be less of one. But sadly, probably not. You were born to fail. We all were. But some of us took a stand against failure and somehow manages to succeed. But you don't have the patience and commitment to DO so! Sutton: Stalk me.. weaken me... and try to move in for the kill.. But in the end, THG, the hunter will become the hunted.. And that my friends, is the end. [Scene] The scene begins to fade to black........ |
