| || Whatsoever Thy Soul Lusteth || [Foreward] Growing up as children we're all let in on the secret 'no-no's' of sin. Pride; the essence in believing in yourself to a high-extent that may overshadow the 'creator'. Envy; the desire to obtain skills and abilities held by others. Gluttony; the action of consuming more than needed. Anger; when one is driven by hate and fury. Greed; the calling of money in the eyes of the clergy. Sloth; to avoid religious engagements of any kind. But one sets itself out in my eyes. One that can sometimes be insatiable. .....Lust Lust is my cardinal sin. What's yours? Got Sin? [Scene] The scene opens up in a Chicago Starbucks. The loud chatter of java-fiend businessmen can be heard from all ends of the room. The camera pans the room and zooms finding Josh Sutton sitting in the very back at a dim booth. Dark shades cover his eyes and he's cloaked by a hooded trenchcoat. He holds a cup in both hands, sipping gently on it while reading something spread across the table. The camera comes closer. Sutton speaks without even looking up from his reading which we now realize is the bible. Sutton: Have a seat. [Scene] The camera joggles momentarily as the cameraman is obviously taking a seat in the booth across from Sutton. Josh removes his glasses revealing eyes that scream sleep deprevation. He rubs them sleepily and takes a final sip of his coffee before placing near the end of the table to be picked up. Sutton: You'll have to excuse me. I haven't slept since our last meeting. It's been a very long, bleak weekend. [Scene] An attractive young waitress walks up and takes the cup. Sutton informs the broad that he'd like another. Sutton: Hardcore Hulin, you brought light to your superstitious fears of Friday the Thirteenth. You call it unlucky. But you see, cherub, luck is and never has been a factor in this world. It's all about skill and lust. The one who desires it most will in most cases come out on top. [Scene] The lovely young lady returns with Sutton's cup and he quickly takes it, devouring the steamy bitter liquid. Sutton: Now you have to ask yourself Hulin. How bad do you want it? Does it plague you to know you may never reach the top? I stand in your way Hulin, and like you said I've been devouring opponents like a ravenous mad man since I emerged here in Chaos Heat Zone. Tell me Hulin, what do you have working to your advantage? What do you have to bring to the table? Sutton: ....Nothing, Hulin. That's right, nothing. You speak to me of this leg injury... Of your battle wounds during your match with McGatha. Of your bad 'luck'. Hulin, I feel for you. You have no self-confidence and all the talent in the world. You're backed up by a complete moron. What's his name? Kenny? Is he your slave or slave-driver? I've yet to figure this out. Regardless, you, like The Hired Gun have already failed miserably and are doomed to go down for the one-two-three come Wednesday. [Scene] Sutton finishes the second cup of coffee and slams it onto the table, sighing. Sutton: That hit the spot. [Scene] Josh arises to his feet, adjusting his trenchcoat and pulling his hood up snugly over his ears. He picks up the glasses and tucks them into his pocket then grasps the bible under his arm. He looks down at the camera, his face made of a stone seriousness. Sutton: Hulin, the Hardcore Era was a nice idea.. But don't waste your money on t-shirts and over-ejaculated merchandise just yet. Because Wednesday just might be the end of the era. By chair or by fist, by hook or by crook... I will walk out the winner on Wednesday. The prophecy has been written.... The number "4" has been etched into your forehead. Not to be cliche but... you're next. Hulin.... Ask Snoops... He'll tell you what a glutton for punishment I am. Sutton: My lust.. your loss.. I'll see you when I beat you... And the children sang in the chorus of... THAT my friends is the fucking end! [Scene] Sutton pulls the shades out and places them over his eyes. The camera pans out as he heads for the door, exiting. The scene begins to fade outward and then to black. |
