The scene opens very late at night in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois. You can hear footsteps but the darkness hides the figure. The street lights glimmer down revealing the man to us. Josh Sutton turns around to face the camera with a grimace on his face. He falls backward and sits on a park bench. He laughs to himself as he looks toward the ground. Josh Sutton: Sometimes, I wonder why I even remain in this god forsaken business. A home of pain to fill that everlasting void. But mine is still left unfilled. You see the pain doesn't satisfy me, there are no more true men out there that care about the business. That care about giving the people their money's worth. It means nothing now. Everything has changed. The wrestling ring has become the real world. People feeding off eachother in order to raise themselves up to a higher claim. There's no real sport to it anymore. I don't even consider it fun. Yet, i still remain...why? The fans? No...That's not it. Maybe it's the fact that i feel maybe there might be a few people who still respect the sport for what it really is, the wrestlers who will go the extra way to please the people and earn their money, the people who will spill their blood, sweat, and tears apon the mats day in and day out. That's the type of person I am and everytime I look around I see less and less of that style. We're becoming extinct and it makes me sick. It makes me sick to know that a sport I helped big is becoming more of a soap opera style than the blood spilling massacre it was made to be years and years ago. ~Sutton remains looking at the ground, talking to himself. The cameraman closes in on him. Josh Sutton: In this sport we have givers and we of course, have takers. Through my many years with this business, I have considered myself a very giving person. I have gave my heart to the world of wrestling. I even used to hope that my kids would someday grow up and become wrestlers, because I know in this sport, it's hard to build a career off of it. Training with the boys has become tighter and they are less expierenced, which leads for lots of injuries. I don't know anymore. In the last 4 years, there has only been one man in this business that has been able to stand toe to toe with me and that is my nemesis, Stevie .C. Through thick and thin i have spilt blood with this man from coast to coast. For better or for worse. I would die for this man. He is the type of man that will do anything to please the fans, which isn't very high on my list, but damnit, he's earned my respect, and that may not be good enough for these new flashy wrestlers like Carl Cash, Jewelz, and of course my opponent this Sunday, Chance Raines.... ~Sutton pulls himself up off the bench and begins walking down the road, mumbling as he goes. Josh Sutton: The thing I like about Stevie is, he has no care for his body whatsoever, you beat and pummel the man until he is dripping blood allover the mat and he will come back for more. It takes a hell of a man to do a feat like that. But there's no respect for that anymore. People want to see women with their tits hanging half way out of their blouses, they want to see soap operas. Well god damnit, I am here to tell everyone, as long as "The Icon of Extreme" is here in mVw, there willbe no more fucking soap opera style wrestling. From now on, everything that is done around here is going to be played to the bone, meaning theres gonna be no more messing around. Now earlier, I was talking about Carl Cash. This guy has earned my respect in the past two years, he will risk his body just as much as the next guy, but there is something special in him. He's got talent, a natural blood talent inside him. And he's the type of guy I want to be facing every night. It's to the point in time where it's time for the new guys to take charge, it's time for them to stand their ground. It's time for them to takeover where the legend's have left off. It's time for them to make themselves and their opponent's famous. It's not about the Stevie's, the Spade's, the Sutton's, the Kane's. The new guys are taking over. But i'm not ready to the throw in the towel just yet. Sutton: Someone from the older group, and I don't mean gray hair, wrinkled skin, cane walkin old, Im talkin about the boys who know what they're doin need to step up to the plate and fuel the fire in the younger generation. And I personally volunteer my services to do just that. And this Sunday, in front of the world, I shall do just that, when i step into the ring with a talented up and comer, Chance Raines. Raines, you lack expierence. I won't doubt your talent for a second, but you definately lack alot of expierence to me, and that's what's going to hurt you. There are so many ways a veteren like myself can put you down for the count and even on the shelf for that matter. One thing is for sure, I damn well won't go easy. I am going to show mVw fans exactly why i was named "The Innovator of Extreme" and why I am the most violent man walking the earth today. ~Sutton comes to a hotel, he digs keys out of his pocket and starts to unlock the door. As he opens it he turns around. Sutton: Raines, Sunday night, when your music hits over the PA, and you step down that ramp with the piss runnin down your legs and the snot runnin down your nose, you will look into the eyes of Josh Sutton and you will know right then that the end is near. Raines, i guess all that there is left to say is, you bring the beer and I'll bring the blood. For the rest of you in the tourney, I'll see you when i beat you. And THAT MY FRIENDS IS THE END! ~FADE TO BLACK |
