1.First tell us little about your band the line up,how you start playing and what was the main reason for forming the band:
I don't know the real reason which has gave me the reason to play in a band.
I just wanted to play with other people. So I join other people who were
looking for a guitarist. It was 7 years ago. But we could not play
correctly. And slowly we lurnd but we change our vocalist, our guitarist,
and our drummer. So now we're five members in Apoplexy. Stephanne our
drummer, Dimitri our vocalist, Laurent our bassist , joanny and me -Romain-
at the guitars.

2.Which few bands inspired you to start listening metal,and do you still listen them:
I started listening to Metal because of a friend who was holder than me
and was in the trip. So I was quiet young around 11. And there was no Death
Metal band. It was the early beginning of Thrash Metal with band like
Kreator, Metallica, Antrhrax... Now I don't listen to them because they
change the way they play. But I always have pleasure to listen to all this
Hold album which I grow with. As strange as it could appear, I decided to
play the guitar by listening to a song of Kiss. It was on the crazy night
album and this song began by a lead part.

3.Describe your local underground scene:
There is more and more band. Not only in brutal music. We are few in
Strasbourg. There's just &127;&127;&127;Inhumate. But new band like nacked Scarcrow,
suicide Fuck, Cerebral Commotion will probably grow because they great. The
problem is that there is not a lot of public in Strasbourg for underground
gigs. We try to make show with other Band. this year we had make Epitome
and Reinfection,2 polish band, come. but it was difficult because with no
public we have difficulties to pay the bands. They don't ask a lot! but
they was so few people. So the question is : will we continue this kind of
thing? I hope, but we will have to find a solution to change the
organization.

4.Your opinion about "rock" star:
It is difficult. I would say that I dislike this attitude. But Ok, they are
famous they have money but it should not be easy to see your life always
observed and shown by medias. You have to be close to the public of course
but I can understand that in some case rock Star need to be quiet. But I
remember a show of Deicide where they have played 20 minutes just because
the public was not good enough for them (maybe it was because Suffocation
who has played before them was so great.). So what sold we think about
this kind of attitude? I think this sucks...It is an real unrespect of
alll the guy who have paid their ticket. So if this means beeing a Rock
Stars..I'm against.


5.Your favorite movies:
I really like movies and i see a lot of them in different styles. I have
really enjoyed Brain Dead and Bad Taste for gore movies. Usually I prefer
film that make me dreaming. Because this change of reality. I don't need
to see what happened every day in the street. But In this kid of film I have
really enjoyed American Stories X.

6.Your opinion about keyboards in metal music:
this depend of the band. In some case It can sounds really great and in
other one it is really bad. I think for atmospheric metal it is OK but in
brutal Death...I would not see what we would do with a keyboard in Apoplexy
for example. Sometimes I would like some keyboards parts but for really
short part. And so what would the guy do during all the rest of time? So
sometimes I thing about using guitar synth.

7.Do you have line up problems or does this line up fits perfectly:
We has changed a lot our line up. But this was never due to problem between
members of the band but because as we've been playing for 7 years now, sope
of us has changed they mind and were fed up by playing in a band. Now we
just start to teach a new bassist our song because Laurent will leave this
summer to spend his time with his family. You see that everything is done
correctly. He doesn't stop immediately, he stays the time we need him. And
that's kind. I respect his choose even if it is difficult for me because He
was with me the last members from our early beginning.

8.Describe your music:
We play Death Metal, that's all. As people say we play an hold scool
metal. This is because we feel really close to band Like Morbid Angel,
Cannibal Corpses who always try to do better. Our music mix all the
different way to play Death, slow part and fast bart, brutality and melody.
But we don't pretend to create something new, we just play the music we
like, honestly that's all.

9.What do you think about metal today and about metal 20 years ago:
Metal has really changed that's for sure. It is difficult to compare. I
would say that first metal band were more honest, they had more felling.
It's amazing what they could make with a very hotl and unpowerfull
materiel. Today some band hide behind materiel. I want to say that it is
easy to sound aggressive if you tune your guitar 2 or 3 tone under the
normal. The sound is bigger. It is a different way to play. You can like it
or not but it brings new idea.

10.Can you tell us something about your lyrics who writes them and what are they about:
We try to create our songs just like movies. So lyrics can be really
different between each songs, to create a kind of painting. But usually
we're talking about dark thing. More about spirit, brain, future. A few of
our songs deal with real subject like incest or religion. But we don't talk
about politic. I think that music should help people to dream, to escape a
short time from reality so we don't want to send message. We also don't
speak about Satanism and thing like that. And less and less, we write gore
lyrics. We want the music, the sound to be aggressive and It's to easy to
hide between make up, leather, nails and explicit lyrics.

11.Plans for the future:
We will try to play more. It is important for us because has we are
independent it is the only way for us to be know and to sell CD. It is not
that we want to be rich or famous, it's just that wee need money to exist
has a band. If you want to continue to play, to record song, you need money.

12.On how many concerts did you played and by your opinion what was the best:
We should have played about 50 shows now. I would say that the opening for
big festival were a great experience. You see, I would never have believe a
guy if he has told me that one day I would have play with band like
Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel or napalm Death when we started to play. We
we realized that now (the only band I would really play with is Death.).
So this kind of opening are really great moment because you play infront
of many people and when they like your show it's an incredible feeling. But
I remember some gigs with small band like us in small village where we have
played in front of 10 person. but it was crazy because they were
completely in our music. And we did our best finishing laying on the floor
with them shaking they head over us. It was s amazing.
