1.Hi first can you tell us little about the bands history,where are you from, who formed the band and when, discography?
I, Ville Lintula (guitar/vocals), founded the band with Juha Jaakkola
(drums) on October '98. Since the departure of Juha in Summer '99 I started
to use programmed ("tracked") drums, which most people hate even though they
sound close to human played drums.
The first release was 'Decayed Flesh' demo in December '99, after few months
'Scattered Remains' rehersal tape '00. In Summer 2000 I recorded
'Disembowelment' which was lately (self) released as split tape with Greek
DISSECTED. Also all of these releases are available on 'Decayed In Birth'
cd-r for 5$ (postage and packing included).

2.The line-up and did you change it since the beginning and are planing to change the line up?
Juha left drummer's duties in Summer '99, but might be that he fill the duties of bass player in the future. From the begining I've been the embodyment and soul of DECAY.

3.About the name of the band, who gave the name and does it fit in music that you play. Did you change the name since the beginning?
"Decay" is the way I see the world - corrupted, raped and decayed... That
should explain it pretty well. The name has been the same since the
begining.

4.Can you describe you music and compare it to some similar bands?

In 'Scattered Remain' -era I was into fast and complex deathgrind, but
through whole DECAY history I've been more into slow, heavy as fuck, ultra
brutal vulgar deathgoregrind. SEPSISM's 'Severe Carnal Butchery' is a
masterpiece and my bible in musick!
Many people find similarities between DECAY and MORTICIAN, because of the
programmed drums mostly. I'd say my musick is a special mix of the entrails
of SEPSISM, DISGORGE (MEX) and CANNIBAL CORPSE delivered in my personal way.

5.Who writes the music and lyrics, what are your lyrics about, do you have lyrics?
I do everything concerning DECAY, musick, lyrics, pictures, cover arts...
everything.Lyrics do exist, but they don't have too much to offer people as most don't
even bother to read them as they are plain gore from outside. Inside there
is messages and warmings about the darker side of humanity, things that
modern world embraces as raptures.

6.What are your views concerning religions, racism, morality and death?
.......I don't accept bands who abuse people, especially teens. I don't
accept people who 'sell' music, they kill the art and our love. I can't
stand bi-sexuals, they are worthless and soulless, and as for gays - be
off!!!!!!!!! I hate what the church presents: hypocrisy - no one believes
that bullshit, not even the "christians" themselves. We'll die again as
we've done since the begining! Hoppers and hippies make me sick! Elders are
false! Humans are whoring soulless breeding cows... "Heaven defied, christ
denied, evil desire, we'll burn in fire" -IMMOLATION
Try to make some sense out of that...

7.What do you think about black metal music scene in your country ?
Kill them all.

8.Are you involved in another musical projects, which ones ?
Vile Reek Webzine ( http://come.to/vilereek/         ) is a 'zine that I run with my
friends. I play CANNIBAL CORPSE, MORTICIAN and some other shit with Juha at
his place at times.

9.Did you have any gig?
Not yet, but perhaps in the future.

10.Can you describe us your latest material?
Dark, gore ridden, blood drenched, grinding brutal death.

11.What do you think about alcohol and drugs?
I hate drugs and alcohol which deprieve life from us and twist it to lie.

12.Your opinion about grind core and death metal do you think that three is big differance betwen this two music directions?
Yea... Death metal is more like music in the common sense, while grind is
more blast based...

13.Do you have some other job, or do you only play in the band?
No job now... I'm a student in Loimaa Professional Institute studying marketing and administration (which is pretty dull).

14.Can you tell us how do you make your music and what equipment do you use?
I use my computer as my studio with the help of Impulse Tracker 2.15 and
CoolEdit 2000. I have Squier stratocaster guitar, Yamaha RBX260 bass, Samson
S12 mic, Crate 15-R and Crate 65-GFX amps (and PM-4120R mixer from now on).

15.Plans for the future?

New demos, new splits, take part to compilations, hopefully some gigs...
avoiding record companies!
