1.Hi,first can you tell us little about bands history,where are you from,who formed the band and when,discography?
Revender:-ORDAINED was formed in 1996 after Rob answered an ad placed by Wally, Dean and myself looking for a replacement guitarist for our band at the time (Metal Wolf).After meeting and jamming with Rob,we decided to move in a harder musical direction.SINce Metal Wolf was now "dead" and we were playing much harder music,the band decided to change names.In '96 we released a demo tape  with a few new (ORDAINED) songs,followed by a 6 songs MCD in '97 entitled "Let us Prey".After building our own studio,we recorded our newest CD "The Second Coming". Currently we are back in the studio recording 3 song MCD to be released late this year,with a new full length to be recorded and released in 2001.
Rob:-ORDAINED is from Norfolk,Virginia (USA).

2.The line-up and did you changed the line up since the beginning and are you planing to change the line-up?
Revender:-We have had this original line-up SINce the beginning:
Wally Parris-drums & backing vocals
Dean Palokangas -bass guitar
Rob Soul - guitars & backing vocals
The Reverend - lead & backing vocals
We plan to keep this line-up.

3.About the name of the band,who gave the name and does it fits in music that you play.Did you changed the name since the Beginning?
Revender:-We all voted on the name ORDAINED.I came up with the name,seeing as I am a legally ORDAINED Revender.Also ,our music has quite a big imagery,you know -- good vs. evil,death.war violence....all the good things about Heavy Metal.Additionally,we have a huge stage production with props,fire breathing,pyros,costumes & masks that I changed SINto over the course of the set.That part gives us an "image" to go along with the musical presentation.

4.Can you describe your music and compare it to some similar bands?
Rob:Our music is for guys jamming.We use no machines or keyboards;just guitar,drums and bass.We most often get compared to Forbidden,but I personally don't think we sound like Forbidden or any other band for that matter.We may not be braking any new grounds musically,but I think we have our own sound and that is what is important.

5.Who writes the music and lyrics,what are your lyrics about?
Reverend:- As far as the music ,Rob writes allot of it,but mostly we all contribute.Sometimes Dean comes up with a riff,sometimes I come up with a riff,etc.Basically,Wally writes the drum parts,Dean writes the bass lines,Rob writes the guitar parts and I write the lyrics.Rob also comes up with most of melodies.Pretty much,if one person doesn't like something we will change it around until we can agree.Sometimes the lyrics are written before the music,sometimes the other way around.ORDAINED lyrics are written before the music,sometimes the other way around. ORDAINED lyrics cover the entire spectrum,I try not to limit myself as to only one or two subjects.

6.What are your views concerning religion,racism,morality and death?
Reverend:- I don't care what religion or race you are ,what are your views on morality are,and we are all going to die and I don't want to hear about it.I get enough people talking shit because I am The Reverend---about what I'm doing is wrong or whatever.Know what?Fuck that!I do not care what you think about what I think or do,and I don't  want to hear what you think.Unless of course it is your opinion on ORDAINED.
Wally:- I believe in GOD and the DEVIL.Racism is pretty stupid.Everybody should be able to do what they want to and get along with everybody.Death-its a fact-everybody will die.
Rob:-Religion-to each his own!FUCK Racism!Morality makes it fun to be immoral!Death is only way out!

7.What a metal life mean to you?
Rob:- A metal life to me is living for myself and not for anyone else.I live my life to play metal!

8.Are you involved in another musical projects,which ones?
Wally:- I have played drums on other artist;s recordings in the past as a studio musician,but my main focus now is on ORDAINED.
Rob:- I am involved with another project that will be out on SINTERNATIONAL RECORDS in the summer of 2001.
9.the best concert that you have played on,and do you have some special act when you are on stage?
Wally:- The best show ever was when we opened for King Diamond.We bring back the big show-pyros,fire,blood,smoke,..........you name it,we got it.
Rob:-Playing for the King Diamond was grate experience for me.King Diamond and Mercyful Fate are a HUGE influence on me,so being on the same bill as the KING was one of the highlights of my life.King Diamond is the king!!!

10.Can you describe us your latest material?
Wally:- Heavy,as fucking hell!
Rob:- We are currently hard at work writing for our next full-length release.We have refined our sound a little,which in turn is making our music heavier.I think the next releases will prove to the metal masses that we aren't fucking around!

11.What do you think about Alcohol and drugs?
Reverend:- I completely support all drugs (even though I am drug-free),and I support drinking,which I do on a daily basis.
Rob:- If it were not for drugs and alcohol........there would be no ORDAINED!
Wally:-Ya got any?!?

12.Your opinion about Unblack metal?
Rob:- I'm not quite sure what you mean by Unblack metal?I happen to like to like all types of metal: black,thrash,death,speed,grind,etc,...,etc.,......whatever the fuck you want to call it....it's all good to me.

13.Do you have some other job,or do you only play in the band?
Reverend:- I also work for the highway department here in Virginia.
Wally:- I want to be a full time musician,but in the meantime I am the general manager of a fastener(hardware)company.
Rob:- I play in a band,but I get a real kick out of playing with myself too!Sometimes,I get blowjobs.

14.Plans for the future:
Reverend:- To record,perform,party and hopefully,not to die of AIDS (if I do,oh well,..).
Wally:- Keep putting out CDs and keep touring until the end.
Rob:- I plan to teach our bass player how to speak!
