Band History

By God's will, the eXTreme Spirits band started in May of 1998 at the Thai-Lao Baptist Church in San Rafael.  Our band was formed beginning with Teh Kittikul, a Berklee College of Music graduate, class of December 1983.  With God's grace and His blessings, all of our original band members (Diane, Jane, John, and Somporn) are still together today.  With support from our families and church members, and our faith and dedication to serving God, our group is maturing musically and spiritually.

We wanted the group's name to represent our Christian faith. Having "Extreme Spirits" written as "eXTreme Spirits" brought out the "X" and the "T".  According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the "X" is a symbol for Christ or Christian. An example of this would be the abbreviation "Xmas," which has been used for hundreds of years. Likewise, the letter "T" is a symbolic representation of the cross where Jesus was crucified.  Therefore, the name "eXTreme Spirits" always reminds us of our savior, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to save all of us from our sin.

"Praising and glorifying God with music" is our mission. Therefore, if any churches or organizations feel that they may be able to use us, please contact us.
