The Global West McCastor plates are much stronger than the stock
versions, and provide caster adjustments. They use a steel spherical
bearing in place of the stock rubber bushing, so slop in the upper
strut mount is eliminated. They use the nuts and bolts from the stock
plates for mounting. The combination of large and small spacers allow
the strut rod to sit higher at static ride height, which recovers some
of the travel lost when using lowering springs. Unfortunately, this
also prevents the use of the stock dust boots and bump stops.
