(A) The bracket that held the rubber bump stop (now sitting
on the housing). This area of the frame rail would eventually have
to be ground smooth to make room for the cross member.
(B) The "quad shock" mount bracket had to be removed.
The area also had to be ground smooth to weld on the rear bracket for the
new upper control arm.
(C) The upper loop of the rear lower control arm
bracket would get in the way of further work, so it was also removed.
This part of the bracket was used to locate it on the axle tube at the
factory for welding, and it is actually not welded to anything, so it is
safe to remove.
