suriyasat, i was born in bangkok, siam (betrayed name thailand).
i have one lovely daughter, Parima
(meaning good person, good citizen), and my wife Lisa.
i have loved music, painting, printmaking and photography since
i was young. my first art teacher, ouab senasean, is a painter
who told me he wanted to be violinist and photographer but people
pay him to paint, and my second art teacher, thavorn ko-udomvit,
he's a printmaking artist who taught me how to look at things
by not only seeing, and after that i went to the states to study
at museum school of fine arts in boston... at that time i was
dreaming to be painter (even now), but turned out to be a photographer. |

| when i was in the
entrance period for high school, one of the schools i had picked
was an art school. on exam day i decided not to go because i
thought no one in my family wanted me to study art, and then
my dad came to my room and asked me why i didn't go... i answered
because of you all...and he kicked me (first time and only time
in my life) and told me "be what ever you want to be just
do the best in what you are (i have never forgotten those words).
many things in me i got from my parents
and 3 sisters (they are bookworms) because they all love art
and look at artists as beautiful people. my hero in my life is
the king. he is the painter, photographer and jazz composer and
the most importantly, he's a real king, by helping countless
poor people in his over 3,000 projects... well we have a bad
goverment but we still have this great man here. |

in my life i have been in love
with many kinds of art and i wish i could do them all but part
of my dream has been stopped because of my health, in the millenium
year i had a kidney transplant, and my donor, my nanny from when
i was young, her name is Supanee Charoensombat
and she has given me the gift of life.
i hope some of my work here
means something to someone out there... that's all
