Child Labor in Africa is almost common in most of the continent owing mainly to the misunderstanding of the long term development problems associated to the issue as well as the main economic activities that are mainly agricultural and where children's contribution is significant. According to estimates by the ILO, the rate of participation in various work activities of children between 10 to 14 years of age is about 21% for girls and 33% for boys. This is compared to an estimate of 4% for girls and 7% for boys in   North Africa and even less in developed countries.

This page is under construction: We are in the process of adding child labor statistics and links to this page !!!
