Aqua gig in NZ, thanx to white tyger

Aqua first appeared in Auckland on 22nd March. They did a
free gig (they were hired to encourage ppl to go to the city
coz of they power crisis - I think you know bout this..) at Aotea
Square. I didn't have a chance to go there, but I heard that
they sang 6 songs from their album. About 25,000 ppl appeared
to listen to them (the government was expecting more). Of course
the ppl went shopping afterwards...

On the 24th March, there was a HUGE crowd in front of SOUNDS
records shop. The line of queue reached to the end of the row
of shops (I tell you, it WAS long..). Photographers and security
guards were everywhere. The records shop was playing "Good
Morning Sunshine", "Heat of the Night", "Be a Man" and "Turn
Back Time" repeatedly. Somewhere from the crowd, out came
cameramen (TV1&TV3) and their reporters taking shots of the ppl
there. They then interviewed the first buggers in the
queue (surprisingly, kids -not!). They were talking, smiling and
showing off proudly the free posters that came wif the Aqua
album or cassette they purchased from SOUNDS. No one was
allowed to go into the shop half an hour before the time.

It's 4.15pm ..15 minutes to their arrival. The crowd was
getting larger. I was getting warmer. I was standing near the
doorway of the shop but was still able to take a peek or two at
an alley next to the shop. According to my bro., that's where
the Bloodhound Gang was first sighted and they were headed to
the backdoor of SOUNDS.

4.20pm .. My bro was getting restless.. I was planning to queue
up and meet the band, but then decided not (which my younger bro
thought was a vvveeerryy bad decision when I emailed him about
it) coz it was too long and if I did, I would miss my bus by
the time I get near SOUNDS. So I decided to just take a look at
them.

Suddenly, there they were!! Walking calmly behind the
panic-troubled-worried looking security guards. Well, one
wasn't. He was shooing all the ppl out of their way - acting like
he had all the power of the world or somethin.. Enough
bout him.. Eventhough they were walking, they were still a bit
too fast to really observe them. Luckily, I managed to peek
through the glass window. When they went into the shop..the ppl
in front of the shop started screaming..and screaming...

Firstly, LENE- Her front part of her hair were dyed bright
red (like the one in the "Dr Jones" and "Turn Back Time" vdo)and
the rest was charcoal black. She was shorter than I expected
though.. She's about shorter than I am (I'm bout 5 feet 4
inches). She was wearing red shirt and pants wif patterns of
white circles, the one you get when a shirt is hand-dyed..

Secondly, RENE- The most obvious is he was TALL (duhh..). He
was wearing the Mighty Ducks T-shirt he wore when he performed
in the European Music award..um..1997? Well, it was white in
colour wif the logo of the Mighty Duck in the middle of it.. He
was also wearing dark sunglasses before he went into the
records shop (gasp!).

Well, Soren and Claus.. I didn't have a chance to get a real
look at them.. They always seem to be standing behind something
or someone..arr.. Anyway, Claus had his normal spiky-hair look
and one of them was wearing a black t-shirt..

Apparently, I heard, they were in a white van heading toward
the alley. But there was a huge truck wif a man doing some
drilling in front of the alley (something to do wif the power
crisis, no doubt). So they parked at at the junction of the
road going past the alley. They had to walk all they way down
to they alley.

As I gave the last look at the oh-so-famous band, Rene was
signning the poster of the first person in the queue- a lil'
girl in a yellow dress, and was holding the hand of her
mawm...awww..
