Month 1

Hi! I was born on August 6, 2003 at the KF Specialist Centre Sandakan. I was 3.55kg with not much hair on my head. The nurses said I was a very 'handsome' baby. They said I'm going to be a smart boy because I have less hair. I gave mummy my first smile on the 3rd week, coughed like an adult at the 2nd week.

Month 2 (September)

This month, I learned to stare and observe things. I laughed and smiled a lot. I could now say agoo-goo-agoo. I loved listening to Dad playing his musical instruments especially flutes. I hated to hear the trumpet because it was too loud and it could break my ear drum.

Month 3 (October)

My mom's milk was insufficient for my daily intake. I didn't like the formula. At one time, I surprised mom when I said out 'nenen'. They were all excited. At the end of month 3, I didn't pass motion for a few days but my doctor said I was fine. Breastfed babies are like that.

I love music. My favourite song is "God sent His Son" being sung by Dad. I always show my approval whenever he sings that song.

Month 4 (November)

I still did not like formula. Mummy had tried more than 6 samples. Eventually mummy tried the S-26 Gold which tasted a bit like mom's milk. I accepted it. I loved hearing Mom singing Jesus Loves Me whenever I was being fed. I would sing loudly in the church when they sing hymns. I started rolling over this month.

Month 5 (December)

I started grabbing things. I broke grandma's spoon, I pulled mummy's hair, poked daddy's nose. I enjoyed doing those! I started feeding on cereal this month. This combination of formula, cereal and of course mummy's milk made me stronger that I loved climbing pillows. Mummy then put me on baby-walker which I mastered right away.

Month 6 (January 2004)

My gum was swollen. The lower teeth popped out at the end of month 5, followed by the upper teeth 2 weeks later. They were really itchy so I kept on grinding my teeth and biting mummy's fingers. By the 3rd week of this month, I started crawling.

Month 7 (February)

I had my next two upper teeth out this month. Now at the age of 7 months, with 6 number of sharp teeth, I could really chew mom's nipple! I didn't manage to crawl but I managed to sit briefly. And I started my first syllables of 'mnyaa mnyaa mnyaa' which could mean nothing to them-, the adult. They wanted me to say 'mama' or 'daddy' and not the sound of a hungry puppy. My favourite meal was mom's porridge ie mixture of rice, greens, peas, tomato and carrot. At night, I would still call mom for my special breastmilk.

Month 8 (March)

Sorry , Mom's Pentax compact camera was stolen and Dad's SLR Pentax camera is not functioning very well so there was no picture last month and this month. I stopped taking mom's milk this month because my jaw was too strong and my teeth were just too sharp for her. However I relied much on 3-times-a-day meal and about 20 ounces of formula. The doctor said my weight at 7.5kg was considered normal for my age. Mom said she didn't want me to be so fat like pig!
Month 9 (April)

My fourth quarter started this month! I can now easily crawl (like a commando). I laughed a lot to Dad's and Mom's jokes. I liked playing piano. I would bang bang bang the keys while sitting comfortably on the piano chair. I got sick several times (mild and high fever) and the doctor told mom and dad that it was just some viral infection. I knew those viruses came from those admirers who never stoped kissing and cuddling me! I love them all!
I never liked those medicine given by the doctor. Many times mom tricked me, saying that she was giving me plain water (on spoon) but eventually I found out her trick and sometimes I would refused to take anything on spoon.

Yes! Dad bought a Nikon digital camera for mom on Mother's Day. You can see more of my pictures from now on.

Month 10 (May)

Month 11 (June 2004)

My beloved grand-dad died in an auto accident in May. He used to tell me that I was his 'gang'. He would bring me out to see flowers and birds. He is resting. God knows what is best for us.
I learned to clap (when mom asked me to) this month. And I could hold my own bottle now (while feeding). I started to walk but I fell down many times. May be it was not my time yet. Keep on smiling mom and grandma! I love to see those happy faces!

Year 1 (August 2004)

I am back! This is my first anniversary, yes! I am 1 year old this month. But I am still unable to walk. I love to crawl and I love tearing off dad's books. My favourite foods are dad & mom's solid foods. And you know what, I know how to call my parents by now. I call dad as 'DADUNG' and mom as "CHA" but I call my grandmother as 'mama'. I love the morning and evening worship, thats when I can disturb dad when he plays the guitar. I love to do the 'shining star' with my hand as well.

1 Year + 1 Month (September)

Good news for dad and mom because I can call them properly now. I am getting active even in the church. I smile whenever they smile at me. I giggle whenever they kiss me. I love hiding inside dad's travelling bag, or any kind of baskets.

1 Year + 2 months (October)

Mark this date, Oct 26,2004! I have my first steps today. Not just a step but I managed to walk around the living room on my first try, and they all were shouting in disbelief. Dad was in KK so he did not believe when Mom broke the news to him just now.

1 Year + 3 Months (November)

A baby with 1001 faces. That's how they call me. I can just imitate any facial expressions with ease. I have no problem making various types of sound such as dad's yawning sound, his sneeze, cough, a dog barking, cuckoo sound, a passing car sound, kentut etc etc. I tried blowing dad's trumpet and flute but failed.
