多學一點點多種功能合一
今天，有些東西可以一物兼備多種的用途，這樣一件東西，英文叫做all-in-one。All-in-one也可作形容詞，習慣用在名詞之前。最常見的一種all-in-one，大概是二合一洗髮護髮乳，叫all-in-one shampoo (and conditioner)或two-in-one shampoo (and conditioner)：你可以不說all-in-one（全部合而為一），改說two-in-one（二合一）、three-in-one（三合一）等，例如：I had a cup of instant three-in-one coffee, and at once felt greatly refreshed（我喝了一杯三合一即溶咖啡，頓覺精神一振）。傳真、列印等等功能合一的機器，當然也稱為all-in-one，例如：(1) This all-in-one printer, fax, scanner and copier has served me well（這部列印、傳真、掃描、影印四合一機，我用得十分稱意）。(2) All-in-ones represent the perfect choice for those who work from home（對在家辦公的人來說，那些多功能合一機是最佳選擇）。Work from home和work at home同義，都是指「在家辦公」。Technological developments are enabling more and more people to work from/at home即「由於科技進步，越來越多人可以在家裡辦公」。本課對話有一句說：Space is at a premium。Premium可解作「特高的價值」，例如：He placed a premium on honesty（他特別重視誠實）。引伸其義，at a premium就是「珍貴」、「缺乏」的意思，例如：Food was at a premium during the war（戰爭期間，糧食短缺）。
