Yes, there were minor injuries nearing concert time since people lined up for more than 2 hours in the rain. ( This part was so disgusting and I had sent email to ABS CBN so as to reach the organizers’ attention. I saw Susan Lim that evening at Whistle Stop restaurant in Eastwood with her party after the concert and was tempted to confront her. I was with my boyfriend, sister, and  niece. I felt that the venue was not favorable that moment.)
Thanks to Gary V for pacifying the crowd before entry of  Taiwanese guests.

There was only one entrance gate which opened at 6 p.m.and that catapulted to a series of untoward incidents before the concert started. The concert venue was heavily filled up with people from all walks of life ( young and old, foreign guests, locals, Chinese, Caucasians, professionals, et al…) it compensated well when Barbie showed up on stage and the crowd went gaga over Barbie’s entry.( Believe it or not, the rain halted ). I must admit she was beautiful as per my sister’s description but plainly I think she was “ glowing “. Her performance with the her sister Dee was amusing since it was  a Chinese broadway performance coupled with an outrageous costume accentuated with flowers including the microphone. Though majority of the crowd did not understand the lyrics, people were appreciative manifested by their clapping of hands, lenghty giggles and shoutings. The spectators loved and adored her  for there was sincerity in her expressing “ Mahal ko kayo “ sweetly as San Cai. The best part was when Dee and her led the singing of Meteor Garden’s Quing Fei by Harlem Yu as their third song for that evening.  The crowd sang it beautifully by heart  as if it was the national anthem of the entire nation. Barbie was teary eyed for having not anticipated’s Filipinos talent in language adaptability

Then, Vanness was introduced and SHALOM,  everybody was hysterical as he started to show his moves and grooves. He was truly sexy on stage with that short and new hairstyle. He was sporty dressed with matching white beret. But what captivated me was when he deviated from the program proper and opted to sing a Christian song as an appreciation for the audience’s enthusiasm and great sacrifice. ( I salute Vanness for performing beyond what was expected of him to reach out to his audience).

Ken’s presence transformed the stage into a hypnosis. He was gorgeous! His voice had improved a great  deal. Consistently, the spectators adulated him more when he requested everyone to be careful and not to hurt each other. Naturally, his signature song, “HERE WE ARE “ shrieked the crowd. He was perspiring profusely because of the heat and energy from the spot lights.
Ken and Vanness sang together as for their finale number. It was  a natural high for everyone. The beautiful display of fireworks deviated the crowd’s attention as organizers carried our foreign guests back to EDSA Shangrila.
