| He hasn't even got himself a girlfriend since then. F3 decided to set him up with different girls, but to no avail. AS said he is still married and will continue to be married. He said that he need not see SC physically to know she's present, for he knows that every time the wind blows, SC is around to guide him. And that every time he stares at the sky at night, SC reminds him of the vow they made for each other under the stars. F3 thought he was crazy and all mushy, but in reality, they really pity AS. For they know he hasn't moved on yet.Years later, SC and AS's baby, named Wei Lee has grown up now 3 years of age. He got the wit and intelligence of his mother, but the temper and the arrogance of his father. DMF has always been good to him, could be some guilty feelings on what she did to the boy's mom. So she filled him with gifts thinking, it was a way to show love. However, the boy's relationship with his father was somewhat estranged. For some reason, AS can't stand seeing Lee. He knows SC would have hated it if he does that, but Lee just seems to remind him of the pain of SC's loss. Yu Sao was the one who would always take care of Lee. Late at night, AS would look at the stars and talk to SC by himself. He would ask her for forgiveness for treating Lee badly. He would cry still and blame himself for what happened. With a twist of events, SC as Ling decided to go back to Taiwan. There she met Mr. Ho, a very rich widower-businessman, whom later became her boss. Mr. Ho treated Ling like his own daughter. He said it would have been nice if Ling would meet his new wife, for his new wife is most unfortunate. A widow herself and has loss her own daughter. Much to Ling's surprise, Mr. Ho's wife is none other than her own mama. Ling tried to be discreet all the time, but a mother sure can't deny her own blood. Ling then confessed to mama and Mr. Ho who she really is.. Mr. Ho then promised that he will find a way so that Ling can meet her son. So he arranged that Ling will be a private tutor for the Dao Ming family's biggest brat- Dao Ming Wei Lee.And so Ling enters the Dao Ming mansion once again. Not as the weed SC, but as a refined, very well-bred Ling. She hit it off with Lee at once, but felt bad that he isn't in good terms with his own father. All the while she thought, AS remarried, but to her surprise, he remained single. Ling would avoid seeing AS when he goes home, thinking she wouldn't be able to contain herself. Nevertheless, AS didn't credit Ling for anything. Thinking, she was just doing her job and that she should work for it. But the family was so pleased seeing Lee now behaving well. Hearing this, DMF decided she would go to Taiwan and congratulate Lee's private tutor. Now they are face-to-face, DMF must have completely erased all the memories of SC on her mind. For she didn't even recognize Ling to be SC all along. DMF then asked Ling to befriend Lee's father, AS, for he himself needs to make-over his ways. AS and Ling had a slow start. They hated each other and were constantly bickering. Yu Sao, on the other hand, told AS that Ling reminds her of SC. AS said that it was such a big insult on SC's memory, for Ling can never be like her. Later, AS received a call from DMZ. He learned that she got into an ailment which caused her to be partially blind. Her new husband, who works in Sg, doesn't know about this and she wouldn't want him to see her in such pitiful condition. AS offered to pay for her operation despite oppositions from their mother. DMZ agreed to stay with him when she learned DMF was not in Taiwan. While at home, the blind DMZ heard Lee talking to his tutor. DMZ yelled SC's name for she thought it was SC who was talking to her nephew. She hugged Ling and thought she was really SC and told her how happy she is to hear from her again. DMZ said she knew all along SC didn't die. Ling recuperated and said she';s not SC. DMZ said it couldn't be, for she knows, she just knows! Ling denied her persistence while Lee thought his aunt is just crazy. Late that night Ling talked to DMZ, where the latter confessed that it was SC who changed the course of their family's destiny. She learned that their father has been philandering for the longest time now in the states, but DMF refused to see the truth behind it. She still pretended that they are still a happy family. Ling asked her if she hated SC for she could be the reason why their family broke apart thus, causing her to be blind. DMZ scolded her and told her not to think such thing. For it wasn't SC's fault at all, it was God's will why everything happened. Unfortunately, she, DMZ has to suffer from her mother's wrath a punishment she confronts right now. Ling later apologized but was extremely bothered by DMZ's words.For a long time, AS and Ling would argue about the simplest details. Ling tried to convince AS to be nicer to his son. He accused her of being too nosy and to stop pretending like she's Lee's mother for she can never ever be like SC. Ling got so furious and slapped AS face and told him he is such a selfish pighead. Their whole argument reminded AS of his fights with SC when they were still together. He thought Yu Sao could be right all along, the reason why he hates Ling so much is because she reminds him of SC. AS pondered about this all night while drinking with F3. They shared a few laughs but AS can't deny the fact that he's still suffering and in great pain. |
