*Autumn POV*
I get back to the room and see we were gone for about an hour. I go and get a quick shower and start getting ready.
As I put my makeup on, I think about how I had read that Fred was a hopeless romantic. Then I'd think how I was still going out with him for dinner. I put some hot curlers in my hair and waited before I had to take them out.
When I got finished, I called Tre and asked if she and AJ were busy because I wanted their opinion on how I looked. She said they weren't busy and she told me to come on over.
*Tre POV*
"That was Autumn, Alex, she's going to come over and show us how she looks"
I tell him trying to get his attention. He's watching Golden Girls (MAN!! do I HATE that show) and is almost impossible to get away from it.
"Uh yea ok sure babe"
Is all the response I get and roll my eyes at him. There is a knock on the door and I know it's Autumn. I go and answer it and let her in
"Hey Autumn. Wow you look really good girly" I tell her when I see her in her outfit. "You even curled your hair and I see you paid extra attention to the make up too. Looks really good" I tell her.
Her, like me, put makeup on during the day but we don't sit down and do the mascara and liner and blah blah stuff. We make sure we look good, of course, but we save our 'looking hot' moments for special times.
She smiles
"Thanks Tre."
"Your welcome" I tell her.
I look over at AJ and see he has no clue Autumn is even here. I roll my eyes at him for I don't know how many times today
"Alex, Autumn is here."
I try to get his attention. Nothing! Sighing I walk over to the tv and turn it off
"HEY!" He yells at me.
"Autumn is here AJ"
I tell him in a stern voice. He just gives me a look and turns around and looks at her.
"WOW Autumn, you look GOOD" He tells her.
She smiles
"Thanks AJ. You think Fred will think so?"
"Yea, I know he will" He tells her.
"Good, thanks"
"Yep No problem" He gets up and heads for the bathroom "have fun tonight"
He tells her before closing the door. She looks at me and I can tell she is wondering if everything is ok between us.
"Oh don't worry Autumn" I say before she can ask "Things are just fine" I assure her.
"Ok, good. I got a little worried there for a minute"
"Nothing to worry about. You go on and have a great time with Fred. Make sure you tell me everything, tho" I tell her and we both laugh.
"OK, I will. Thanks Tre. Later."
"Later girly"
I watch her walk to her room and then close the door.
'Gee what are we going to do tonight..this is lame'
I think to myself as Aj walks out of the bathroom
*Autumn POV*
I head back to my room and see I have about 7 minutes until Fred comes to get me. I hope that AJ and Tre are really okay. I decide that since I have a little time to kill, I'll read. I sit on the bed, careful not to wrinkle my skirt and I start reading "The Sun Also Rises" by Ernest Hemingway.
I get half through the first page and I hear a knock at the door. I get up and go to the door and it's Fred. I stand just in awe by him. He is wearing a yellow button down shirt, a pair of grey pants and of course a cap.
"Hi Autumn. You look good."
I grin and say thanks and we head towards the elevators. We get down to the main lobby and I spot Marcus. He gives me a thumbs up and I shoot a thumbs up to him. Fred and I soon head away from the hotel.
*Tre POV*
I watch AJ walk over to the bed and plop down.
"Whats wrong Aje?" I ask him.
"I'm bored"
"Lets go down and play some pool" I suggest.
At the mention of pool I get a smile
"Now that sounds like a plan" He says.
We get up and AJ grabs the room card key and we head for down stairs. In the elevator AJ pulls me close and gives me a kiss and apologizes for getting short with me. I smile back at him and tell him it was ok, no harm was done. The elevator doors open and AJ looks in the lobby for teenyboppers, but there is none, so we head to the bar to play pool.
"Looks like no one has found out we're here yet, babe."
He tells me while taking quarters out to start the game.
"No, no one has found out YOUR here yet, I have nothing to do with the madness that surrounds the finding of a Backstreet boy in town."
I tell him and he laughs at me.
I look up and see Marcus heading towards us and I groan a little, I thought low enough for AJ not to hear but he did.
"What's wrong babe?"
He asks me but before I get to reply he hears the reason
"Hey AJ, what's up?" Marcus asks.
"Hey man. Gonna play some pool with my lady." AJ lets him know.
Marcus smiles and then looks at me
"You can play?"
"Yea, why? Surprised?"
I ask him and I can see AJ raise his eyebrows at me.
"No, not surprised really. Girls that usually hang out in bars usually know how to play" Marcus says to me.
I get very pissed off at that moment and get off my stool and walk over to him
"And WHAT is that supposed to mean?" I ask him.
Aj is just looking at both of us not really knowing what to do about the situation.
'Ok, my girlfriend and bodyguard are arguing..how do I stop this?' he wonders
*Autumn POV*
Fred and I get to the resturant and it is fancy. He helps me out of his car (yes, he drove.) he takes his cap off and throws it in the backseat and we walk in. He tells the main waiter he has a reservation and they lead us to a table. We sit down and are given menus. After we place our orders, Fred looks over at me.
"Autumn, you seem tense."
"Oh, I'm not tense, just ...nervous."
Fred laughs and asks
"Why you nervous?"
I sit, trying to find an answer.
"I have no idea. Maybe because I have never ate in a place like this."
I looked out and saw a dance floor and a band. Fred sees me looking at the band and asks if I want to dance. I smile and say sure.
*Tre POV*
I'm standing infront of Marcus, fully aware of exactly HOW much bigger he is to me, but not backing down. I can tell AJ is at a loss at what to do, poor aj.
"You know darn well what that means Trelyn. I know how you and AJ met, as does the rest of the guys."
I just stand there looking at him not believing he is actually insinuating what he is. Yea ok, AJ and I met in a bar, big deal, it happens a thousand times a day. Neither one of us were drinking, just there dancing and having fun and as fate would have it, we bumped into each other. We've been together since, that was 2 years ago.
"Again Marcus, I wanna know what AJ and I meeting in a bar has anything to do with anything" I ask him.
"Ok you guys, can we stop now?" AJ asks us.
I turn around
"No, Alex, I want to know what he is trying to say."
I tell him and he shrugs, poor guy.
Marcus sighs and then
"Ok, you wanna know what I think about you and him meeting in a bar?" he asks me.
"I actually don't give a damn what you think but I am tired of the hostility you have towards me"
"I know what kind of women hang out at bars waiting for a man to show up. They learn how to play pool, darts and whatever else it takes to get the guy and then when they finally get him, they treat the guy like crap, use him and always end up messing around on him, specially when they meet someone famous"
He tells me and I have to say, my mouth dropped open to the floor
*Autumn POV*
Fred and I are dancing and I can't believe how close to him I am.
We make our way back to the table, in time for our food. (okay, since you want to know... he ordered a steak and potato and a beer, while I got wine and chicken alfredo.) We sit and eat and make conversation. He looks at me and says
"Well since you probably already know about me, tell me about yourself."
So I sit and tell him about my likes and dislikes. He seems impressed. So we sit and chat and eat. I am loving this evening more and more by the second.
*Tre POV*
AJ, sensing major trouble is about to happen steps inbetween Marcus and me.
"Ok, you guys, enough" I look at him
"YOU guys? Did you NOT just hear what he said about me AJ? He practically called me a slut!" I say raising my voice.
"You said it, I didn't"
Marcus says to me and I am going to slap him when AJ stops me. I glare at him for it but I see the look in his brown eyes and I back down, I've never seen AJ quite so angry before. He turns around and looks at Marcus
"Look man, this is my girlfriend and you are my employee. You WILL NOT talk about her like that EVER again. I love her, she loves me. We've been together for 2 years now, it's not like a one night stand here. You have no right to say what you just did and you better apologize to her now or you will be picking up your last check at The Firm come tomorrow." AJ tells him.
I am shocked that AJ actually stood up to Marcus, not because I don't think he loves me, but because Marcus is HUGE compared to AJ. I am in the middle of glaring at Marcus when he clears his throat
"Uhh, sorry Tre. I was wrong in saying that. I over stepped the line here." He says to me.
I don't want to accept it, but know I should and have to.
"Ok, Marcus. Apology accepted." I tell him.
He shakes his head to me and AJ and walks off.
"I'm sooo sorry baby. I had no idea he thought that way"
AJ tells me and takes me in his arms. I welcome the comfort and bury my head in his chest
"It's ok, AJ. I know you didn't. Thanks for sticking up for me"
I tell him as I look up at him.
He smiles
"Of course I'd stick up for you, your my honey, no one messes with you if I can help it."
He tells me and gives me a sweet kiss.
"Yes well thank you baby."
"Your welcome. Lets play some pool now, ok?"
"Yep, rack em up sweetie and prepare to get your butt kicked"
I tell him and he laughs
*Autumn POV*
Fred and I have finished eating and we sit just talking. Fred sees the dessert tray go by and he ask me if I want some dessert. I get this grin on my face and think thoughts I probably shouldn't.(see what happens when you hang out with Tre!) Fred sees this grin and ask me what I am grinning about. I lie and say just the thought of getting out and doing something. Fred says alright and he pays the bill and we leave.
I sit and fool with his radio and hear a Marvin gaye song and stop it and sing the song playing which is "Distant Lover." We pull up outside this park and Fred as me if I care to go for a walk. I say I don't mind a bit.
