The 3 of us got together and went apartment hunting before work the next day. We had one more apartment to look at and all of us were getting quite frustrated with the whole thing. "You know if this one says no, I think I will take Howie up on his offer." Autumn says to us. "Offer, what offer?" Tre asks. Autumn gets a 'oh crap it slip' look on her face "Well, uhh he asked me to move in with him." We all got silent for a minute, all you could hear was I Want It That Way playing in the background. (yes again we are listening to a bsb cd, can never get enough) "What did you tell him, Autumn?" Tre asks her. "Well I told him I couldn't because of my promise to you guys about the apartment." Tre and I look at each other but don't say anything. We get to the apartment and it is gorgeous, exactly what we want. We were talking to the landlord when Tre pulled me aside "Lorie we can't take this place." "Why not, Tre?" She looks over towards Autumn "Because she has a better offer from Howie. I mean I know if AJ asked me I would want to live with him and if Kevin asked you it would be the same way." I know she is right but man I wanted this place and if Autumn didn't live here we couldn't get it. Before I can say anything Tre walks over to Autumn and the landlord. "Thank you for showing us the apartment. We will get back to you soon." and shakes her hand and then grabs Autumns arm and pulls her outside. I follow behind but taking my time because I know I won't be coming back. "Tre, what in the hell are you doing?" Autumn asks her clearly annoyed. "We loved that place, why did you drag me out of there?" We got down to Tre's car and instead of getting in we stood near it. "Because Autumn we can't afford it." She looked from Tre to me and back again. "What do you mean 'we can't afford it'? With all 3 of us working we make plenty." "Very true Autumn but since it will be only 2 of us, we will have to look else where." Poor Autumn looked totally confused for a few seconds but then the realization of what Tre just told her hit her "Tre I promised you and Lorie I would get an apartment with you, and I will." "No, you won't." I spoke up finally. She turned and looked at me "What?" "Look Autumn, Howie asked you to live with him, Tre and I think you should. We all know if AJ and Kevin asked us we would want to." I tell her. "Right, we don't want you not to move in with him because of us. We will manage on our own to get an apartment." Tre tells her. "Anyway we owe you." Autumn and I look at Tre both with confused looks this time "What are you talking about?" Autumn asks her. Tre sighs and leans on her car "Remember when we moved here and there were only 2 beds in the room, so we had to get a cot." We both shook our heads. "Well we were going to flip or something for it but then you just took it without a complaint once. So this is how we will repay you. You go and live with Howie and Lorie and I will get a place." I can tell Autumn is amazed at Tre for even remembering the cot thing, let alone just telling her to move in with Howie. She looks at both of us "Are you both sure?" "Yes" We both say at once. "Oh you guys, thank you sooo much. You two are the best friends a girl could ever have." She tells us and we all hug. "I'll go tell the landlord that we won't be taking this place." I tell the girls. "Ok, Lorie." Tre says and I walk off. I find the landlord still up in the apartment. "Excuse me." I say to her and she turns around "Oh back so soon?" I walk in and smile at her "Well yea. We wanted to tell you now that we won't be taking this place. I'm sorry" I can see that she doesn't understand since she knew we loved it when we were up here just a few minutes ago, so I felt the need to explain. "See we don't need a 3 bedroom anymore. We only need a 2 bedroom." "But there were 3 of you here looking." She points out to me, like I didn't know that. "Yes there were but one of us is going to move in with her boyfriend now so there are only 2 now." "Oh I see. Well you know what? There is a 2 bedroom right below this one that is available. How would you and the other girl like to look at it?" I just stand there and stare at her not believeing what she just said to me "There is another place for rent here?" I ask her. "Yep, right below this one. The rent is $100 cheaper then this one" I feel excitement take over "Wait right here, I will go get Tre." I tell her and practically run out of the apartment and down the stairs. "TRE!" I yell when I made my way down the stairs. I see the girls jump up from where they were sitting and run towards me "What Lorie, what's wrong?" Autumn asks me. "Nothing, nothing at all." I tell her. "Then what is with the yelling?" Tre asks me. "I'll tell you..the landlord said that there is a 2 bedroom apartment available right below the 3 bedroom if we want it" I tell her excided. Her and Autumn exchange glances and she gets a huge smile on her face "No way." "Way girly" "Well all right! Lets go check it out Lorie" she says to me and grabs my arm and we head up stairs. The landlord was already there opening up windows "Sorry it's stuffy in here, it's been empty for a couple weeks now." "Oh it's ok, don't worry about it." Tre tells her. We look around and we both decide we love it. "We'll take it." Tre tells her. I really wanted it but I wanted to tell Kevin first before I signed a contract with anyone, see what he thought. "Tre, why don't we talk to the guys first." I say to her quietly. "Why? we're the ones who are going to be paying the rent." She says to me and I can hear the annoyance in her voice. "Because I want to talk to Kevin about the contract." "Ok, ok..fine we'll do it that way." She says to me completely annoyed. "We want to talk to our boyfriends first Ms. Tallent but we will get back to you by tomorrow, is that ok?" I ask her. I can see she doesn't like it but she agree's "Ok, girls that is fine but please get back to me soon. I think this will go fast." "Yes ma'am we will." I tell her and we all shake her hand. We all get back to Tre's car and are about to get in when we hear "Wait!" Tre yells all of a sudden and runs over to Ms. Tallent's car. She talks to her for a few minutes and then heads back over to the car. "What was that about, Tre?" I ask her when she comes back. "Well I had to ask how long the lease would be. I know the guys would ask." She tells us getting into the car. "Wow you're right, they would want to know." I tell her. I notice that she isn't giving any information out-I guess I have to ask to get it out of her-I think to myself as we head to the studio where the guys are. "So Tre, how long is it?" I ask. She looks over at me when we stop for a light "Well it's for a year. We have to sign for a year first and then it goes to monthly" She tells me. The car is silent for a few minutes. I know I didn't want to stay that long cause I know eventually Kevin would ask me to move in with him, specially now that we both admitted our love for one another. I look over to Autumn and she is staring out the window. -probably thinking about moving in with Howie-I think.
We get to the studio and find the guys sitting around not doing much of anything. "Well guys, I thought you were supposed to be recording." I say as we walk in. "Lorie, what are you guys doing here, I thought you were looking for apartments." Kevin asks as he walks over and kisses me. "Aww gee Kev, don't want me here?" I ask and pout. He smiles and gives me another kiss "Of course I want to see you baby, I just didn't expect you here." I look around and see Howie and Autumn talking-most likely about moving in together-I think. Tre and AJ and still saying Hi to each other, like they didn't just see each other that morning. "Ok, you two could you quit kissing and holding each other for one second?" I say to them laughing. They quit kissing and Tre turns around from AJ and sticks her tongue out at me "No, we missed each other so there" She says to me and we all start laughing. "Hey baby, you supposed to keep that for me and me only" AJ says to her and pulls her in closer and kisses her. "Oh I think I'm gonna be sick" Autumn says from where her and Howie were talking. AJ and Tre break apart and smile. "Ok, well we found a place today guys." I tell Kevin and everyone. "But it seems there has been a change of plans that we were just made aware of today. It won't be us 3 moving in together, it will be just 2 of us." Kevin and AJ look at us confused but I see Howie smiling and giving Autumn a hug. "What do you mean, just 2 of you?" Kevin asked me. "Well it seems, Howie asked Autumn to move in with him. Tre and I decided that we can't hold her to her promise that she made when we first moved here, because obviously, situations have changed." I tell them "Wow D, you did ask her huh? You said you wanted to but you never told me you did." AJ says to him and slaps him on his back. "Well yea I asked but she turned me down because of the promise she made to the girls." He told us all. "Well Tre and I told her to forget that promise and move in with you, I mean that is more important." I told him and he smiled at me and Tre. "Ok, so you found another apartment already for you and Tre?" Kevin asks me "Yep, right below the 3 bedroom we looked at today. It's perfect and we both love it. Most important we can afford it." I say and Tre laughs and shakes her head in agreement. "Well baby, how long is the lease for?" Aj asks Tre. We look at each other because we knew, somehow knew, they weren't going to like it. "Well...it's a year lease and then after that we go monthly." Tre tells him and Kevin. "A YEAR!!" They both shout at the same time. "Well yea a year." I say and take Kevs hand to calm him. I see Tre put her hand on AJ's shoulders to get him to sit down again and she kisses him. "Lorie, I don't want you to have to be committed to a lease for a year." Kevin tells me. I look into his green eyes and see his unhappiness in them "I know Kevin but that is all that is out there for what we can afford." I tell him. "Tre, this sucks." I hear AJ tell her. "I know it does AJ, but what can we do?" She asks him. "Well damnit, you can move in with me." He tells her and I can see the shock on her face. "What?" She asks him in a surprised voice. "You can move in with me. I mean you're there all the time anyway and we don't kill each other." He says and we all chuckle at that. "I know baby, but I didn't think you were ready for that. I thought you wanted to keep it simple." She reminds him of what he told her a couple months ago during a argument. He looks down at his hands "I know what I said a couple months ago baby, but forget that, I was stupid once again. I love you and I want you to be with me." He tells her this and I see her jerk her head up and look at him in shock of what he just told her. I think we were all shocked that he told her he loved her, that is something we never expected to hear from him. Tre looks at him and I can see that she has tears in her eyes she's so happy "I love you too AJ and I want to be with you too. Yes I'll move in with you." She tells him and they kiss and kiss and kiss....."Ok you two, knock it off" Kevin yells. They pull apart from the kiss but continue to hold each other. -I guess when you thought you would never hear them words from someone you never want to let go once you do-I think to myself. "Well baby, I already told you how I feel about you so the next step is you moving in with me." I hear Kevin say to me. I just stand there staring at the wall. I stare for so long Kevin gives me a little shake "Lorie? Hello, are you in there?" He asks me and it brings me back. "Huh? OH yea sorry Kevin. Did you just ask me to move in with you?" I ask him. Everyone laughs at my question "Well yea sweetie, I did. What do you say?" He asks me. "Well I say, I love you and yes I would love to move in with you." I tell him and practically jump in his arms and kiss him. He starts laughing at me "Well if I didn't hear the yes I would take this to mean it." He says and everyone starts laughing.
All 3 of us went back to the room to spend the last few nights together before we started our new lives with the guys. Autumn went to the office and gave them the 2 day notice we decided to be generous enough to give them. On our last morning in the room we all packed and then stood around just staring at the room. "You know I can't believe we're leaving." I say to the girls. "Man I know. I mean it stunk here but it's weird to not going to be living here." Tre says. We carry our stuff to our separate cars and then lock the door to the room. We decide all of us should go and turn in the keys, I guess we are just delaying the fact that we no longer will be living together. I know it sounds weird but we have lived together for almost a year now and even though we've been with the guys for half of that we always had the room to come back to get together and rant and rave and even cry. We had the 3 of us to come to with our problems, which it seemed Tre had more then any of us but that is because her and AJ are both so stubborn they forget to give and take sometimes instead of just taking all the time. We get back to our cars and just look at each other. "Well I guess this is it ladies." Autumn says to us. "Yep, this is it. We gotta go." I say. "Well it's been one hell of a ride girls." Tre adds in and we all start laughing. "Hey and the thing is girls, it's not over yet." she adds and we all hug. "See ya guys" Autumn says getting into her car. "Yep see ya girlies" Tre says to us and starts her car and we hear AJ's voice booming through her speakers and she laughs and so do we. "Hey it's not like we won't see each other, right?" I ask. "Well of course we'll see each other. Our boyfriends are best friends and they are in the group together." Autumn says. "That's right girls, we will always be friends, nothing will change that." Tre says from her car "The only thing that is changing is our addresses" She adds and then waves and drives off. We watch her leave and then look at each other and laugh "Typical Tre fashion" Autumn says. "Yep, that sure was" I say. I get into my car "Later Autumn, have a good one." I tell her. "Yea you too, Lorie." she says and pulls away. I wait for her to clear `my way and then I drive off for my new life with Kevin.
