Most notable for including the future lead singer with Manfred Mann, the group was formed at Harrow school. They released four interesting singles between 1964 and 1966 and, although they never had a hit record, their unusual origin ensured them a place in the English group panorama of the time.

Like many other bands, they began their career performing cover versions at local gigs before they turned professional in March 1964 after being awarded a record deal.

They appeared in the film Just For You, performing a song called Hide 'n' Seek wearing their inevitable straw boaters

A Band Of Angels split up following a tour in France during 1966. D'Abo replaced Paul Jones in Manfred Mann, while Gaydon teamed up with the group's manager, David Enthoven, to form EG Management. Among the acts they represented were Emerson, Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, T. Rex and Roxy Music.
