The Jaywalkers actually predated the beat boom and they mostly played instrumentals - they'd had a minor hit in late '62 with a version of "Can Can".

Despite the slightly ludicrous spectacle of the group dancing the Can-Can as they played their record at live shows, they were a more than competent band and they toured the UK with The Beatles in 1963.

By 1966 they had undergone several changes in personnel and they disbanded completely at the end of that year.
