They say that "first impressions count."
The purpose of this website is to find out what first impressions people make. When we meet someone, many things combine to influence our opinion of that person and our perception of their personality. In addition to looking at such things as their clothing, demeanor and body language, we consider the things they say and their accent. From this information we form conscious and subconscious judgements about them. By eliminating these things and reducing people down to just a photo of their face, the hope is to find the influence facial appearance has on people. |
