The PC Assembly Batch 2 and PC Networking Batch 1 started their registration for the upgrading courses at the Labour Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE last May 21, 2004 at 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The FACE team who conducted the registration was headed by Mr. Tino Arciga, Ms. Sally Shah and Mr. Richard Dela Cruz. Also present was Eng’r. Edmundo Ferrer, FACE President, who made the opening remarks during the opening of the new batches.
"The attendance of OFWs during the opening of classes in Abu Dhabi was very overwhelming. Their enthusiasm to learn new skills is growing as ever and is obvious with the support they give to FACE. And we're quite happy for that!", said 1st VP and Abu Dhabi Coordinator, Tino Arciga Sr.
Likewise, Engr. Ed Ferrer was extending his utmost thanks to the Philippine Government particularly the Philippine Embassy/POLO Office in Abu Dhabi for providing FACE the place to conduct their upgrading skills courses. "This just goes to show that our government is really serious in their campaign to help uplift the Filipino lives.", remarked Engr. Ferrer.
Aside from FACE Abu Dhabi Team, the FACE Dubai Team also attended to give their support for the opening of classes. The Dubai team was composed of Ester Marciano, Jimmy Morales, Noel Gamlanga, Susan Pagdanganan and Nestor Pagdanganan.
The Filipino Association for Computer Excellence (FACE) has started their summer registration for upgrading courses last May 21, 2004 at the Philippine Consulate General, Abu Hail Road, Dubai, UAE.
The enrollment was started at 2 PM and lasted until 7 PM, offering courses on PC Assembly, PC Networking, Graphics Design and Visual Basic 1 & 2.
In between the registration time, Eng’r. Caluna lectured the students from Visual Basic 1, some pointers and overview of Visual Basic 2. Training the Trainers was held and it was conducted by Mr. Ernie Manalo.
For the benefits of those who missed it, FACE will be extending the conduct of the registration on May 28 2-5 PM, again with the full support from the FACE officers, trainers as well as members.
