Wine And Cheese Night, 2003

This years wine and cheese night was one to remember, with appearances from all years groups including PhD students and lecturers. Held on level 2 of building 4 we had over 30 people drifting in and out throughout the evening.

The selection of cheese was awesome thanks to Steele and Nikki's quick trip to the well known cheese deli under the DFO building at Martin Place. It was YUM!!! Even the French cheese, which according to Nikki was 100 years old. Good one Nik!! Leaving Steve to organize the wine left a few of us wondering if we would even get to see it, but alas it turned out to be a smart choice as we ended up with an excellent range of red and white wines and even some passion pop for Al.

As the evening progressed on and all that yummy wine and cheese was consumed, the party hats went on with the renowned gate-crashing phists entertained us all with song and dance. The coon cheese we purchased as a back up even proved to be a real hit, hit being the word as it ended up being pelted around the room.

Thanks to everyone who came along for what turned out to be a great night. A special mention and thanks needs to go to Mr. and Mrs. Baker for donating some wine from their excellent collection. The wine was used as lucky door prizes which added to the enjoyment of the night.
