I remember when I put together this web site. Oh my … I had to learn web design and publishing from scratch, but I had a dream; a goal and very soon a commitment. The Coven Elysium had given me so much spiritually, emotionally and educationally that I needed to give something back. So, this web site was created as my gift to Bertrand and Aura and all the conveners; past, present and future. It is also an attempt to keep our Coven growing by letting others know who we are and what we believe in.
It took a lot of hard work, frustration and sometimes scrapping the bottom of the barrel. What I mean by that is rather personal but I'm Wiccan therefore I share. I have been disabled since 1992. It's been a hard life but fruitful. I am supported solely by our Social Security System. They seem to think that a person can survive on a less than poverty level income.
When I started this site I asked for support from our Conveners and interested others. I have yet to hear from anyone but doxxx. With out him this site would not exist. He too has been jobless for an extended period of time but has put in an enormous amount of work to make this web site professional and successful. I am eternally grateful to him for all he has done.
This site, of course, is not free. There is a monthly fee and a yearly fee plus so many unexpected expenses. I have paid all of this since the start of the site. This last years fee slipped my mind a bit and since it is an automatic withdrawal from my checking account, I ended up bouncing checks and accumulating many bank fees on top the web site fee. HOLY DELEMMA! I THOUGHT ALL MY HAIR WOULD FALL OUT!!
I feel it is time for our Conveners and interested others to help support this web site. All you need to do is to e-mail me;
and I will respond with an address for you to send donations to. All donations will be kept in a secure account earmarked specifically for this Web Site. It is tax deductible and if you request, I will send you a letter for your tax purposes.
I am not asking for much. I am in the same place as most of you are with accumulating bills, souring medication costs, gas prices skyrocketing, grocery prices increasing. But my income does not increase. I just can't keep doing this alone anymore.
So please; search your heart, and see what you can do. I believe that the more we publicize our true beliefs and behaviors the more the public will accept us for who we are and therefore know what wonderful people Wiccan's and Pagans truly are. Many Blessings, Lady Faerie Ariel
