Ruined "Perfection" |
I swam ashore, with the waves lapping gently as they kissed the sand. My first steps were shaky, but soon I could stand on my own. This new world I'd stepped into, was ripe and decayed. All the fruit, too sweet, Had truned to brown mush. The grass burned, There were no greens or deep blues in sight. Dark water that trailed off my body, felt sickening and hollow. The flowers expelled dangerous oders, All with the intent to poison. The air grew too thick, I had to sit down. Nothing was like I expected. Where was this land of beauty? and crystal waters? Everything here had turned dim. This place, once paradise, Now cold and dead. Dry ground cracked under my feet, (brittle, like bones) Night was coming, this world was too foreign. I dove back into the dirty water, I'd rather take my chances with the sea. |
