What can be said about this man? He walked out of the forest one day and saved the world?
Perhaps that sums up his life from the perspective of the
common
man. But for a few that know him, the Story seems rather different.
"A man who names himself after his job ,....has something to hide"
A wood elf raised by humans. Lost along the roadside and saved by a druid. Who happened upon a maid within the forest. He fell in love at that very moment they say. And from that day forward he only called himself The Archer. Why ?some would ask. But alas only the Archer and perhaps that maid knows why.
But for us, He is and always will be The Archer, Hero of the Seven Cities and Prince to the Dragon City. For this man saved the Seven Cities from a lasting curse and laid those deeds and his heart at the Maids feet. From that day forward he was known as the Prince.
You may ask me why I care about the shadows of this man's hidden past. I put a question to you. "Do we not deserve the truth about the next King?"
So here I tell you about what I've figured out about our Prince. What city
raised elf silently walks across a stone floor, and blends with the shadows
cast by the walls? Oh yes our Prince dresses as a Ranger would, as does
his Wife. But what ranger holds a cold glint within the depths of their eyes
and knows next to nothing of nature? I once counted the daggers our dear
prince carried upon his person. 13 daggers upon one body.
what
normal man has need for so many? Plus add in the two quivers of Arrows. I
came to the conclusion that our Archer does not fight within sword reach
of his foes. But than I did see our Archer practice once with his bow. I
came to wonder if what he says is true and he is only an Archer. For one
to fire off five arrows within as many heart beats is a truly shocking thing
to watch, then add in the fact he never missed the bullseye. For all
my studies, I have only came to one conclusion. That our Prince once lived
a life full of stealth and death, and then left that all behind him. and
gave himself over to our city and his bow. So Archer I will call him. As
will we all. For there is no other name which he holds only titles.
The Archer is a man of many keepsakes. Sentimental perhaps.
Dragon City: An amulet hangs about his neck, with the cities symbol upon it, It's said that this Item will always allow The Archer to find his way home.
Alter City: A chest covered with strange engravings rests at the foot of The Archer's bed, What this chest holds none know. but the servants have all been warned that to disturb this item will find them lost to this world as we know it. Some portalhole of some sort I suppose.
Dragon Castle: This City was under attract by a dragon, Somehow our Archer destroyed this fearsome creature. as Proof he wears a Green stone amulet about his neck. Some say that Fire once breathed from this item.
The Lost City: Wrapped about his left wrist is another Amulet. No rumors have I heard about it's abilities, but the mages do say it's magical.
City of the Lake: From this place he carries Quick Silver his bow. An Iron wood silver shot bow of superbe beauty. What all it does I know not. only that our Archer never has to search for his arrows, they always return to his quivers.
Aquatic City: This city was also being held by a dragon. I heard this from one of the few people who once travel with our quiet Prince. From here he carries one rings. and wears a second. The first is said to allow him to breath under water and the second to move with complete freedom at all times.
City of Limbo: From here he carries a most unique Item. A Figurering of Wounderest Power, a serpent. This creature when released from its statue becomes a Pit Viper large enough to ride. a truly scary sight indeed.
Those are the Items he has gained from the Seven Cities, but I know from listening to the Mages that he holds many other magical Items. so many in fact that he has brought home Items as gifts to others.
Let me complete this small tale of Questions by saying that I have heard something strange from our Prince's mouth.
"I have no wish to ever be King, I never did want that. I only wished to marry and live with the Lady I love. So know now and forever that I hold no claim upon the Throne and That my wife is the Heir. I shall back her in her claim"
