Ambulyx (formerly Oxyambulyx) canescens (Sphingidae) is considered a forest pest
because its larvae feed on the leaves of young Dryobalanops lanceolata, a timber
tree. This hawkmoth is found in Indochina, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo and the Philippines.
