Here is a true story written by my great grandmother. It was found after her death stored away in her trunk. She must have wanted to share her history with us. Click on the link to continue reading the story.
"We landed in Dakota Territory about the middle of April
1885. I am sure it was a tedious journey for my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick
Murray; but to my two sisters Mary and Catherine, and myself, my three brothers
Mike, Tom, and Jack, were too young to know what it was all about, the days were
