Well, I have a theory--
All girls fall in love with the Goblin King atleast once
in their lives, and the best loved scene in Labyrinth
is the Ballroom scene. (Hey, it's my fave! ^_^)
Jareth wears a crystal owl pin at the ball, hence the name.
